I've been,for a few years now,very suspicious of the NRL--especially as the mighty $$$ rules!!!

The Sharks were always going to win last year; after they made the top4!!

RL is a game--played in the boardroom!!!!????????????

Same happens in the AFL--that's why the Western Bulldogs got up last season. The Swans were caned 4 to 1 in the free-kicks in the GF--pretty obvious eh!!?????

The thing the NRL has over many sports is that the salary cap balances it out very well.
Even with TPAs and the odd bit of creative accounting by the clubs if a team can put together a good squad you can win that's why you don't get back to back premierships and the 8 changes frequently.
I think it's a bit of a tin hat theory to suggest Sharks won because the NRL wanted it. If that's a valid argument then our 2015 title has to have very serious questions asked about it. Club gets kicked out of the comp, fights it's way back then goes on to end a drought that lasted decades. It was certainly a great story for the sport.
Of course I'm not suggesting the NRL is rigged so I don't believe there's any questions about our title.

Plus if they were going to rig it I'm sure Warriors would have won it before now to boost the sports rating in NZ and make more money.
