Yes, and the first decade of this calendar ended on the last day of 10 AD. Surely, you can concede that much.
Correct, but again that’s not even up for debate.

However, we don’t count decades as an ongoing measure.

Gold FM, playing all your favourite hits from the 197th, 198th and 199th decades.

Well actually, you were debating it... but let's put that behind us.

So therefore you also agree that the first decade of St George in the first grade began in 1921 and concluded at the end of the 1930 season?

And further to this, our ninth decade began in 2001 and concluded at the end of season 2010... correct?

However, we don’t count decades as an ongoing measure.
And I repeat, I never said or suggested otherwise. I even recall providng the dictionary definition. Of course you can pluck a decade out of any 10 year period to suit the context of that period.

Not sure what worries me more, the trouble with St George or the fact that you listen to Gold FM.

Correct.. And the first decade for the Steelers started in 1982 and concluded at the end of the 1991 season.

There has to be division in the squad, it just doesn't make sense otherwise. Yes there is Mary but we have a stronger squad than last year and I think we were playing better than previous years yet our fall from grace has been 'spectacular'. Both the players and the coach need to share responsibility for this BUT the buck stops with the coach. I am tired of hearing how a coach doesn't miss tackles on the field etc....but the coach sets the tone, maintains team culture and develops game plans and strategy. Lately these aspects have been extremely poor. I hope Doust's replacement has some balls.

Mate nothing has really changed under Mary he has the team the fittest it can be after a gruelling preseason . The team bounces out of the boxes going 100 miles an hour playing their best footy they can for the first 6 games or so . Other teams built to peak at the pointy end , and adapt when they work us out . Mary same same no plan B , C .The only reason they have gone a little further before the slide is he has had new additions to the team and a proper 7 until he knocks the stuffing out of them as well . His form as a coach is there to see , he is renowned for the way he coaches . so for me nothing has changed , he needs to go before more years are wasted .......

Is it just me that finds it strange that the Admin that rail against starting similar threads on rugby league and off topic conversations about league in general, have been arguing for a week about when decades started and did not?
Admin thinks he or she is god
When they are more like ISIS

Interesting listening to Gould on 100% footy saying he thought the dragons looked tired when they played Penrith. They then played through origin & continue to play. He thinks they should have been rested(like the rest of us on here) & that it’s too late now because of the position we’re in.

The main problems at the Dragons is all related to leadership. Off the field our management is useless having been in financial decline for ages and have not come to grips with TPA's so not really competitive in the player market. On field we have a soft captain who to me does not exhibit any leadership skills. Hopefully th sale of the club will facilitate change to a professional management team, a professional coaching staff and a captain with leadership skills. If we include change of current procedures for elections of football club members, I'm sure we will have turned the corner and be on our way to emulate the great heights our Club once attained on and off the field.

Honestly Blacksafe dont fall for an opposition team GM whose team is fighting against us for the Top 4 spot giving us help and a solution. Ignore the tired debate I think the decline has nothing to do with tiredness, other teams who have had players not miss a game all year like Cook at Souths are OK. Its mental and in the coach's ball court to rectify and identify.

Not falling for anything.
As you say other teams & players such as Cook etc have not been affected & you say it's the coaches job to rectify it.It's happened every year he's been coach so i think i'm right in saying(you also say it's the job of the coach to fix) L plate has Fu#* ed up again.

I keep saying it, the mental aspect has to with the players finally realising thier coach has no idea how to get them out of these messes they keep getting into.
