We need more set peices where Aku gets the ball in some space and one on one with a defender.
Hopefully this will happen more often as the season goes on...
When we are attacking, if we are not in the opposition 20 or 30 metre zone, Aku should play fullback with Darius on the wing. Aku should be on the shoulder of every foward sniffing around the ruck to get on the end of 2nd phrase play and offloads. When we get into the opposition 20/30 metre zone (where Darius is most effective) Darius and Aku swap back again.
Sure it's a right wing tactic (pun intented) but it could be genius. It could be 'yosh':crazy:
This is actually not such a bad idea in theory Yoshy, no dunce hat for you this time I say! But I will also say that swapping players around 1-2 times a set (across a large area like half the field - 30-40m) might not be entirely practical...so maybe you will never see something like that see the light of day. Especially these days with the attacking line very organised (see 'left' and 'right' centres) so they can go back to defending in the right spots as quickly as possible.
Who is out there like that?
