What totally sucks is that I have might have to go and put my bike into the mechanics and they're only open from 9am-midday on Saturdays...

There's a story in the press this morning that Nathan Rees tried to get the unveiling postponed by 2 months. This was knocked on the head and he has promised to be there now.

Actually I just heard that Fitzy has passed a motion at board level that the name of the statue be changed to the Cumberland statue.

Apparently then name of the Ray Price Statue will be passed on to a lesser sized statue that will sit at the back of Parramatta Stadium!!

Fan day is Sunday, isn't it?

Imagine if the unveiling of the statue/fan day were co-ordinated so it was the one event? It was be great.

If our board/club wasn't so fractured at the moment with personalities and agendas, perhaps it may have been possible.

Just an update for you all. Ray Price has stated that it is open to the public. He welcomes everyone to come down this Saturday. If you're talking to others that do not read the posts on League Unlimited, let them all know that everyone is welcome and the official start time is 11am.

So once again...... Everybody, come on down.

col, i hope the whole 3P team recognise this is a special day for pricey to be shown the respect he deserves as an eels legend but the media gathered there dont give a flying monkey crap about him or his statue and will only be there looking for a sniff of an eels boardroom scandal to turn into another headline

now i know you have no control over whoever is leaking these 'insider stories' but 3P can control what they say to the media so please tell everyone to keep it tight and on subject don't give them any ammo
