As reported by Kul...

I was standing next to Benny.
He was in great form
Kul said 7-5 ... but in the end it was unanimous i thought
The initial vote was for an amendment to parking re ingress and egress on waterloo st
When the greens knew they wouldn't get the numbers the vote for the actual development was unanimous

Really positive news.

Would have loved to be there but unfortunatley work commitments stood in the way. That and the damn mechanics hadn't finished servicing my car until 6:15pm

When it was obvious they weren't going to get up they filed out before the decision
Cue Benny giving sarcastic waves, seeyas and other assorted gestures

Hmmm now I'm wondering how Balmain are going to claim for interest paid on the land during the Ccl's prolonged deliberations...

Suppose you'd have to show that the ccl inordinately delayed making a decision to the detriment of the Tigers club who had bought the land on an understanding (agreement?) that a timely decision would be made. I'd love to have a look at the entire process...

This will see the birth of a superclub
It's prime real estate, close to the CBD
We won't be reliant on pokies ... now let woolies and coles rape eachother to see who gets the anchor tenancy

not that i was worried, but there's about as much chance of the club leaving sydney as the harbour bridge now. fkn great news.

Congratulations, great to hear the news.

Unlike MOTH, the majority of Sydney League supporters don't want to see any more clubs go to the wall.

Pleasantries over.

Cheers
