I enjoyed the episode as long as Merle was on screen. This episode should have been about him and only him (with Daryl, Rick, and Michonne featuring lightly).

I didn't (and don't) give two f**ks about Glenn wanting to get married, nor do I care about Herschel wanting to pray. They did so well at character centric episodes - I'd have liked a little less filler fluff from the prison and more of Michael Rooker's fantastic portrayal of Merle.
Agreed
Could have even had a couple flashbacks of how he got off that roof and his first encounter with the Governor.

Thought there would be a little more in this one. They have a lot to jam in next week.

I'm probably the only one who wants to see Glenn and Maggie get married before the Governor comes. Those scenes were straight from the comic and the wedding scene was a standout for mine.

The prayer was more about Rick than Herschel. They needed it to overlap so Hershel finding peace in prayer was reflected in the way Rick is starting to come out of his fragile state of mind and finally seeing things clearly.

Glenn/Maggie pretty much seals Herschel's death for me. Having that prayer moment with Maggie/Beth and then giving Glenn his blessing. He's passing the torch and it'll be goodbye.

Were they filler for the episode? Yeah, but I think it will mean something for the next ep and won't get in the way of the next ep in the process.

Killing one or both of Glenn/Maggie will put a blessed end to it. Preferably Glenn. He's emo and she's hot.

While Id love to see Glenn get nailed like he did in the comics, I cant see the producers doing it that way. The comic is just way too brutal and graphic for a TV show unfortunately.

Alas I think it will be Hershel that goes, for the same reasons outlined by KTF.

Bring on Negan!

I'm actually just as excited about Abraham and co.

Yeah, Im probably getting ahead of myself a bit. Def curious if they are gonna bring in Abraham, Douglas and the Alexandria township for season 4.

I'm hoping for an on the road season, or at least the first half. I'd rather Tyreese stay around rather than introduce Abraham. Abraham was alright but I never found him to be a good right hand man. That's what bugged me about post-prison. The new characters introduced weren't as good in my opinion.

If they kill Tyreese that would be an absolute waste. it would be a true case of token black guy.

Darryl is going nowhere. There would be a riot.

Was pretty sure Herschel would go, but having a bit of a rethink. I'm 99% certain either Herschel or Glenn will bite it, with Herschel being much more likely. '

Too much has gone on between Glenn/Herschel/Maggie throughout the season to have them all walk out of the prison without some new anguish, especially as most of their current plots have been resolved. All that's really left open is Glenn's feelings towards the gov for what he did to Maggie.

Either Glenn's rage will get the better of him as Herschel suggested a lot earlier or Herschel with sacrifice himself to allow the others to escape.

Or maggie is pregnant but finds out after Glenn dies and they get married

Kudo to Glenn for getting a ring on short notice

Personally I can't see why they don't all bug out to Morgan's with his awesome array of weapons and defences, wait a bit then kill Woodbury when THEY choose not when the governor decides to engage.

If Morgan could do all that by himself then you would think they could all make a pretty solid fortification to protect themselves from anything.

Does anyone else HATE Rick?

He's become such a pussy and has lost the plot mentally. And lately he's gone full dickhead by planning to hand Michonne over (before being a pussy and changing his mind.)

Glenn has also become a knob.

Basically the only characters worth air time are the Governor, Darryl, Michonne and Merle.

Wouldn't say he has become a pussy. He's obviously mentally fragile after loosing Lori and having the weight of the group thrust firmly on his shoulders. The point of a lot of last episodes filler stuff (as well as previous eps) was to show Rick coming out of that state and regaining his sanity. It was his season 3 arc.

Where they go next will be interesting. They've had him playing reluctant leader, dictator, and now they've had him going crazy. What's next?

Well you might say he is a pussy but straight after losing the plot he led 5 people to Woodbury and killed several people.

And the pussy decision was to hand Michonne over. Not doing it means the prison would be attacked.
