Daryl is by far the most awesome character in the show. I hate that Merle got killed, he was so entertaining.

Does anyone else HATE Rick?

He's become such a pussy and has lost the plot mentally. And lately he's gone full dickhead by planning to hand Michonne over (before being a pussy and changing his mind.)

Glenn has also become a knob.

Basically the only characters worth air time are the Governor, Darryl, Michonne and Merle.
I don't hate Rick but agree on Glenn becoming a knob.
I think his role has just become boring, I couldn't give a shit about his relationship with Maggie which is all it seems to focus on anymore. He was interesting when he was doing the risky shit for the group like being bait for the well walker, doing the trips to town etc

Hate Rick. He's stupid, weak and just so unlikeable. Anyone following him in a post apocalyptic zombie world deserves to die

I enjoyed Rick in S1/2. Not so much in Season3. I enjoy the way Mr.Lincoln portrays him but the personality differs. Alas he has gone through a lot.

Honestly, I love the governor. I don't look at him as a good guy but he's just a pure bad-ass, I enjoy his character and when he's on screen he steals the show. His style and everything suits.

Looking forward to the finale and breaking out of the prison arc. So many cool characters to be introduced and some less restrained Michonne action. Rock should come into his own next season.

Utter shite.

I mean, seriously, that was the big counter-attack? Let off some fireworks and then have two people in riot gear spray bullets around without actually hitting anyone? Where the f**k were Rick and the others during all of that? Wasn't the objective to actually kill the Governor? Did anyone even try?

Then all of the Governor's foot soldiers suddenly become disarmed as they flee the prison because they were apparently being "slaughtered?" At that point who exactly had been slaughtered? The only bodies hitting the ground in the prison were zombies. Glenn and his stupid girlfriend were laying in wait to ambush them as they came out of the prison and they didn't hit a f**kin' thing. Only Carl actually tagged someone.

Everyone just stands around and lets the Governor mow down his own people, even though every person there had been carrying a gun? Did they just piss their pants and drop their guns because of some smoke grenades and two idiots in riot gear that couldn't shoot straight?

Andrea knew that Milton was going to die and come back as a zombie but what does she do? She f**ks around staring at his body over and over for an eternity instead of trying to break free.

I thought the build up in the last few episodes was actually quite decent but they just delivered a huge stinking turd for the season finale. What a f**king waste of time.

Fire-up bileduct!

Not the best episode, decent though. Several questionable moments.

1) How the hell was that a battle? Just ran in, shot some walkers and ran out. I guess, they are just Woodbury civvies and not trained army men so they probably shit them selves
2) How Glenn and Maggie managed to not hit a single target, nor be shot at is beyond me.
3) Governor gunning everyone down, while questionable and silly can go down to "shock and in-experienced" I guess. How Allen, Cesar or Shupert managed to not turn against him is beyond me as well.
4) Carl is still a dick, more I see him. More I hate him. He thinks some tough little kid who can/has to do everything.
5) Annoyed Glenn lived. Sooner he drops dead the better.
6) Andrea had every chance to get-out in time and survive. Instead she decided to talk to Milton and just gaze at his corpse. Like, honestly?

Otherwise, a decent episode. Ending shows some hope in humanity and that Rick is not giving into Carl. Humanity still has a chance. He's the better person. Even after all this. No doubt will be used as fillers for zombie-fodder and more men for the protagonist to kill.

TWD has always been willing to take out characters once their story arc was complete or at a resolution. This episode screamed of being unable to pull the trigger.

Also, how does this episode not render Merle's death completely and utterly worthless? And with that being the case, the previous episode becomes an absolute waste.

Agree there KTF. Felt very anti-climatic. A great build-up. Morrissey portrayed The Governor brilliantly and it had the comic build-up. His "kill them all" line was epic. It had the factorsm to be brilliant but it declined to quick.

It had a great opening to. With Milton/Philip/Andrea. Honestly, I think Mazzera didn't have the balls to chop Hershel, Beth and a bunch of the survivors. Which is a shame as it would have ended it perfectly.

There was just too many silly/weak moments. At least Tyresse is there now. Always enjoyed him.

Mate, I think I am finally done with this show. Just like Heroes did this show has reached a point where it has become so contrived and I just don't care at all about any of the characters whatsoever. So this will probably be one of my last posts in this thread (I am sure Springs is thrilled to hear this) because that season finale left me feeling cold and not looking forward to season 4 at all.

Regarding Carl, I actually think he acted in a sensible way. The other kid was told to drop the gun and he didn't, whilst still creeping forward. In my mind he left Carl with no choice. That was probably the only scene that actually made sense in the whole episode.

Unlike the scene of the dickhead lining up the Governor in his sights and then letting him pull out a handgun and getting shot in the head by said handgun. Ridiculous.

Why on earth the other two geniuss would just get back in the car with the Governor after he's just mowed down a bunch of people that were presumably their friends.

I just still can't get over Andrea f**king around and sealing her own fate. I still don't understand how she ended up being bitten anyway, given that she had unbound herself and every other episode has her dispatching zombies with ease.

I also still can't get over how after all of the preparation for the coming prison battle that it ultimately transpired the way it did. Seriously, where the f**k was Rick and Darryl during all of it? Why were just Maggie and Glenn shooting at the Woodbury soldiers? Why can't they ever f**king shoot straight when it actually matters?

Stupid show.

@bileduct

fair enough, I'll watch S4 as I'm a massive fan of the comics and want to see how the new lead show runner handles it over Mezzara. I think he'll improve it. It's no doubt the show is being controlled by AMC a lot in budget cuts and the such.

I agree with your points, even the Carl one. Not saying what he did was wrong. I just hate his attitude and the actors acting. The show can redeem its self. But it will need to be a big turn-around and quick.

I was on the edge of my seat at the opening 10minutes. From the governor in torture room to him standing on the truck and raging. Once they entered the prison it started descending.

Season3 over all was great, it had a nice build-up to finish with a bang. They just failed to capitalise.

I know Andrea is different to her comic counterpart but why the f would they kill off such an essential comic character. She becomes a mother-figure to Carl in so,e shape and helps stabilise Rick. She wasn't my favourite but sheesh, she could have gone out better at least.

Am I pissed? Yeah. I'll give S4 a chance though. I'll say this. Season2 finale left me hanging. This one felt to anti-climatic to my liking. What's in the future? Elder people to care for...

The whole thing was a steaming pile of shite.

That was how they chose the end it?
