The general public is not aware of such repressive tactics as most people would not expect or suspect a sport(union) to act so deviously in its aim to suppress/repress a code(RL) that is a natural superceded improvement version of the antiquated union version of rugby. Rugby league had to.make itself more attractive than Union when it broke away in 1895. Improvements like going to 13 players on a team , no line outs, introduction of the play the ball and ridding scrappy maul play all added to a far more superior version of rugby. Unfortunately union has staunch allies, particularly in the elite private school sector that made sure this bastion of conservatism would not give rugby league a presence. This has made rugby league a sport that does not enjoy "establishment " backing. And things like governments not funding this more attractive code is a widespread dilemma for rugby league. The ugly version continues on its perverted and sinister way knowing the repression it has done to the more attractive version (RL).

You wallow in your sqallor of ignorance, (probably knowing the truth ) but holding close to your establishment based bias that reassures you " That this sort of thing could not happen". You keep turning the blind eye even when facts are put in front of you. A shamefull and unsportsmanlike attitude that you own. Mind you , you are not alone and those more powerful than you are well aware of the deliberate repression toward rugby league knowing full well that rugby union is the benefactor and general sporting justice is not!

Depends who's running the so called international bodies. If we have people in positions of high influence that have a bias against rugby league then it will struggle. However if a sport like union is truelly exposed for its repressive deeds and justice finally occurs in the spirit of decent sportsmanship then RL will come to the fore. Atm the dice are loaded against RL courtesy of union manouverings and bias in influential areas that matter for recognition and ultimately financial support and govt backing.
