The way ahead for rugby in Australia

The last time England played NZ in a League world cup was on the 23rd of November 2013.

The English Rugby Union team didn't play a game that entire week because their last match of the year was held on the 16th of November and again was against the All Blacks.

There is an entire weeks difference in the dates of these games, not to mention that the Autumn Internationals aren't broadcast on the BBC, they have an exclusive deal with Sky Sports and the BBC are only allowed to show highlights packages after the match.

And apparently this made up pummelling, that never happened because if it did you'd just link the website that proved it, happened in an alternate universe where all of the broadcast deals weren't in effect.

Nope.Not made up at all. This was highlighted in the media . Or their has been a comparison made from week about comparing the strong RL ratings with the union test ratings? But it was definitely featured in the press at the time. Rugby league pummeled union in tv ratings numbers in Britain. You don't like this but it was reported. It was seen as a good reflection of the rugby league world cup standing amongst the general tv viewing public of Britain.

This out rated the union test on the same day by 100000s. It must hurt your twisted and biased reflections in sport but it was noted and highlighted in the press. BBC tv aired the tests. Rugby league flogged union on FTA tv in Britain. And this tv ratings pummeling over union happened more than once during this time. f**k you blokes are losers. No common decency and completely disrespectful sods.

For comparison here's the ratings from the England vs Wales pool game in the 2015 RWC.

An 8.3 million average with an 11 million peak. More than triple the NZ-England semi-final in 2013. The most interesting part being that England v Wales was only broadcast on payTV. So the reality is a FTA game accessible to 45 million homes lost out to a game you had to pay to watch by 3 times the numbers.

Added to that the standard ratings for the RWC in 2015 show multiple matches attracting 8 million + domestically, the final between Australia and NZ had over a million viewers just in NZ which as a portion of population is about 1/4, considering it was played at 4-5am NZ time, kind of a big deal.
