Basically I reckon our team can be divided into three categories:

1: Solid, reliable players who aren't gamebreakers but don't have any glaring weaknesses either (Luck, Swann, Ropati)
2: Players who can be absolute weapons but who also have some obvious faults (Lauaki, Vatuvei, Rovelli, Mannering)
3: Steve Price.

I Agree Spacey but I think you can add Mckinnon to category 3.

I'd swap Ropati and Mannering. Ropati has the higher mistake rate, Mannering more solid.

Having said that I do perceive Mannering as a potential weapon with his size and athleticism, but he hasn't really "unleashed" himself this season after his encouraging 2006 season. He very much plays in the solid, dependable mould, despite threatening to be more.

McKinnon has an obvious fault - his temperament , which has already cost him twice this year.

Luck is a very very good player, much better than Ropati, Swann and Rovelli

I think the halves could potentially be a weakness in the big games coming up. Both are inexperienced and haven't played finals footy (which is totally different from the week in/week out sh*t).

The last couple of months they've played behind a VERY dominant forward pack and haven't had to do too much except back up the line breakers.

You'd think at some stage in the semi's we're going to get in a grind with some team, and will have to rely on our halves to provide direction/come up with the big play/apply pressure through kicking game etc.. during these periods.
TBH i haven't seen Rovelli or Witt do this consistently enough this season to say they definitely will when it counts.

Big challenge but i hope their up to it.

Thats a shame.

I would have liked a go at the prick in the finals.
