I’m halfway through todays cast and will catch the rest tomorrow but I feel like I need to say this out loud.

There was way too much mention of a 2016 vibe and fluff about the Fitz era on the first 30 mins or so. Almost uncomfortable content that is just setting fans up for pain.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy with how the team is playing but we aren’t going undefeated to glory and 2 injuries and we are dusted.

Time to reign it in and just comment on the performances without adding this unnecessary expectation.

The other one with those other 2 are on a similar trajectory.

There's defn a bit of d*ck sucking going on around the place. People getting way ahead of themselves. So I see where you are coming from.

I listened to some of this weeks pod but to be honest I'm pretty picky on who the co host is and only really listen to a few of them. So haven't and wont finish this one off.

I absolutely get the excitement, we recruited well, got a new shiny coach who was un proven but you can't deny we're looking better. Finally having some defensive steel is very welcome.

But it's early days ! I'm still expecting a top 8 finish considering the improvement in squad from last year but top 4 I think is still a stretch.

In saying that, i'd rather be us than the Tigers or Warriors. Atleast the Cowboys and Knights have started well.

Defn think there's some good times ahead. Feel like we've hit the restart button but done it properly with the right coach, right GM , good core nucleus of players

Yeah he's easily my favourite, great insight to the club. Shame he can't be on more often but scheduling must be difficult.

I know it's 3 games in but there is a feel about the team on and off the field.
When the drags scored after half time to get it 18-6 I wasn't worried, that's the Fitz buy in.
People who are not sharks fans they tell me your team is the one to watch before the season started, and they see us as a genuine threat.

For mine there is the immediate context and the broader plan.

The positives in the immediate context are starting to make the broader plan more tangible. The impact of the coach and key recruits is exciting. Seeing the early stages of development in individual players and the team is exciting. At round 3, we are starting to see what could be with a consistently competitive team. We are seeing the early shoots and imagining what the forest will look like.

The really exciting time will be when all of the development is complete and the club is financially strong. Then the football department will be resourced, the culture will be further embedded, excellence will be the expectation not the hope in all parts of the club.

Wrist slitting and fluffing are part of the journey. Enjoy it. This club is going somewhere and it will be good.

We will lose some games. Probably 2-3 in a row at stages this year. But we have a really good footy side who will be playing finals footy and could crack the top 4. Enjoy the ride.

I'm mostly the same but the long eps I find myself taking a few turns to finish it off, and sometimes I dont bother and often that comes down to the host and how I'm finding it.

Josh - this weeks co host is one of the f**ken best. Tremendous fella. He is very active on twitter - I don't think he is on here but he bleeds black, white and blue. If you ever see him out kick him in the balls, give him a kiss and buy him a beer. I'll be trying to see him tomorrow night.

If BBB and Shinazz get back together I might lurk in the bushes around mr paisleys and gate crash my two anonymous mates!
