Yep Gal's way out of line, needs to apologise to Newman. Flanno probably thought it wouldn't get to mainstream but thats the way things go these days and has for years now. These guys need to be informed about the power of social media if they don't already know.

Gallen was way the hell out of line saying "drop kick fan" .... it wasn't Newmans fault the coach answered the damn question clearly !!!

Us drop kick fans were around long before you were Paul Gallen and we'll be here long after, if you want to blame anyone blame Flanno but don't lay the blame on Newman who to me seems like a great bloke who loves the Sharks as much as as the rest of us, if not more !!

I live overseas and i listen to the shark Cast every week and I was listening to that broadcast and it's pretty bloody clear who is at fault here, it was pretty clear what Flanno said !!

I've lost some respect for Gal over this, he has acted like a complete c@nt over this blaming Newman like that....

F@ck you Gal you're not bigger than the club mate and we're winning without you anyway... Don 't turn on the fans mate especially after all the shit we've been through over the years !!!!!

Bloody wiz poor state of affairs. Coach was correctly twice by the reporter.
On Gallen, he would want to be careful, drop kick fans are what are keeping the game going, on a club and rep level.
He is guilty of saying to much most of the time.

Reading between the lines gal is pissed with the coach for talking about it and should criticise flanno not take it out on these guys, maybe there is history to the story here, I dunno, there seems to be
And flanno should not be doing the ole force a decision through the press
Everyone assumes he is quite stupid but this is quite shrewd
Regardless it's pretty low tactics
Unfortunately one possible outcome is the club pr guys will suspend or script this podcast forum

I must admit I raised my eyebrows when I first heard Flanno mention it on the podcast(main reason being as I'd never heard Gal announce it officially)

I don't agree with Flanno stealing Gal's thunder but at the same time I don't agree with Gal bad mouthing these hardcore fans that do this podcast in their own free time.

In hindsight Gal should have stayed tight lipped on the radio and maybe had a chat with Flanno prior to having a sook on air

The shark cast is independent. If the club pulls its involvement it will continue without it, with a reach about 10 times what it was this time last week.

You've got to wonder about him. I never waver from the fact he loves the club, but him on MMM - well he is really pushing his persona like a "Hulk Hogan" in wrestling. Post playing days he is thinking about. He might be thinking he will replace the fat bloke on the MMM breakfast show and continue on with Geyer and Johns??

every media outlet in the country or some shit.
He said he hasn't made his mind up.
Only would play if he is the best man for the job.
He didn't say a bad word about Flano
Reckons it was not what has been decided but what Flano wants.
Has not signed for next year... Still working out a few things ( 2 guesses there )
