OK seriously... this team is so schizophrenic i cant even work it out. Can some one help me understand how a team can change so drastically from one week to the next like we do.

They need a mental toughness mentor or something. This thread is for the weeks when we trot out absolute rubbish against team we are supposed to beat, there will be more.

Last point, i actually feel like we need to drop out of the 8 or something, we cant keep finishing 4/5 and reward some of these blokes, we are the definition of making up the numbers...

rant away

What does trindall bring besides his kicks?

forwards bar Talakai need a rocket. Ramien hasn’t looked like beating anyone one on one for 2 years. Kennedy has resumed his normal self. Ronaldo got put back in his box well and truly. Yuck.

Mentally week.

Not in not being able to get up for the big stuff, but not being able to do the necessary against the stuff they are expected to win.

If they are raging favourites expect a loss.

Always the way.

Also players know they aren't getting dropped.

Who has Fitzy ever dropped on form? Only ones I can think of is previous incumbents coming back in

That there tonight smacks of a side who ran around at training all week patting themselves on the back for beating Storm last week whilst simultaneously looking at the understrength roosters side and licking their lips at the shellacking they were going to dish out just by turning up.
Totally out enthused.
Outmotivated.
Outcoached.
Outsmarted.
Out of touch.

The closest guy we have to a roosters forward - tough, mobile, can hit - is the bloke who plays 15 minutes a week. Sifa.

Whatever ramien once had that got him to this level....he don't have it no more.
Not even close.

Do you count east-to-west in run metres?

If so I have both Nico and Trindall down for 600+ run metres each for the game.

Excellent effort.

I think it’s agreed by most here that Ramien should be tapped on the shoulder.

Seriously he is a passenger out there now.

Talakai back to the centres until we have someone emerge from the lower grades.

We need him on the field much longer than he is.

FMD BHU is another that the game has gone past him.

Zero intensity, absolutely zero.

We couldn’t wait to get on our bye with an easy win over a shit roosters team.

Reminded me a lot of our performance against the Tigers last year…. ‘Oh shit, they’re having a go, what do we do now’….

Awful attitude. Weak, weak as piss.

Ramien and Tricky are offering nothing. Sifa to the centres please, or even 13.

Embarrassing that.

You see Bellamy and obrien kicking chairs in the box.
Robbo bangs on the glass or stands and claps.
Ryles stands and throws his arms up or hugs his co after a try.
Sticky rides the sideline and does jumping jacks.
All these guys are a lip readers teaching manual for F bombs.

Every cutaway to Mr Futz shows a cardboard cut out.
Every single one.
It never changes.

The new "Wash Up" thread.

Out coached.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Couldn't get the players up when needed, couldn't adjust his game plan that wasn't working.
That's some huge shoes right there.

Size 20's at least.

Footnote (pun intended): you know what they say about big feet.

We desperately lack a bit of a bastard - the sort of player who wants to ruin the other teams day. The sort of player that will go out and belt a kid on debut, to show him who’s boss and put the kid in their place. Our lot (bar one or 2) would rather shake their hands and ensure their debut is a joyous moment.
As a collective, our team are soft as shit, a set of ‘crying is good for you’, modern era bullshit, soft lads.
It says it all that a winger is our most menacing/aggresive player.
Remember Gal pretending he didn’t know who Mitch Barnett was, didn’t know his name, said some thing like ‘was he the winger’….. we just don’t have the c*#t in our team. Our 2 scariest players in Sifa and AFB are also fairly quiet humble blokes - we desperately lack an aggressive, grumpy bastard.
We also desperately lack a skipper who’ll at least fight our corner with the refs - we’re an easy beat, if we get shit decision after shit decision, Cam will just do his mongy look and run back to carry on with his admirable, but low impact graft,

Why can’t the players get up for a game?

Not professional enough?

No ambition?

No fear of getting dropped?

Too many inconsistent traits making some of them good players and not great players?

I’d say that we keep finding a “new” way to embarrass ourselves but we’ve seen this before. And we will see it again

Every time you think this team have turned a corner in regards to their professionalism and their ability to own the moment, they go and get absolutely humiliated again. Last night was a f**king disgrace and any other coach would make people accountable but Fitzy won’t do a f**king thing.
