Well.... All and sundry has been told that 2005 is the year of the Tiger the realality is like it or not the club is going NOWWHERE.My view on this season is bleak to say the least. With an old and aging forward pack with absolutly no leg speed and seeing most younger talent play (no one outstanding and that was a con how this was our saviour) Benji and Dean being the exception... premier leaguers at best!! I,m tired of the excusses- the there is always next yr LINE,wait till our younger talent comes though WHAT TALENT.Who was the bright spark that wanted Sheens signed for a further 2yrs this alone begs belief he has said today we are now working for NEXT YEAR what a JOKE !!!!!! WORKING WITH WHAT----- SAME COACH AND PRETTY MUCH SAME PLAYERS am i dreaming .What was the cry when Terry Lamb was beaten once thats right folks once by 50 points HOW TIMES CHANGE ....2005 the year of the TIGER i must be dreaming.

Well i know ive defended the team many times this year and i might seem to be going to lightly on the boys. But in a way Sheens told us to expect this. The performances have been unacceptable but Sheens did say that consistancy was always going to be a key factor this season.I know its been a bad month but i think a little understanding needs to be given.

arent we over blaming coaches we are not privy. to the goings on and why we cannot attract top players or afford them do you think that sheens instructs them to go out and make dickheads of themselves?? there comes a time when you have to ask is it the coaches fault!!! he is the one that sees there attitude at training and commitment would ricky stuart do any better with our current crop of players especially when sheens doesnt have players flocking at the door to play for us!!

Hello.... players generally are attracted to a club for the coach and the chance to get ahead.Add the game time of all the players on the field yesturday and tell me that these players were properly motivated and in the right frame of mind to put in a good performance to be 2 points out of the 8 .Stop making excuses the GAMES UP the buck stops at the top .....the performances of the last month are the sole responsibility of the coach start to see the big picture and point the finger at who is in charge he and he alone makes sure that all and sundry has been done to prepare the team for a good performance. And if Ricky Stewart was coaching us we would be in the top 4 without any problems and why? there is a big difference in generational coaching oh to sign Daniel Anderson. Sorry the GAMES UP!!!!!! So in everybody elses estermation WHAT DOES A COACH DO THEN.

What's the freaking point of this thread? I suggest you learn how to construct a coherent diatribe because your rambling is unintelligible.

"Oh no!! a month of bad football, we're destined for the spoon in 18 months!"

I have faith in this team.

Geez guys lighten up in here, I tell you now, this time next season the wooden spoon is more likely to be further away than it is this season. Too much negativity. :x

anyone who thinks 2005 is going to be better than 2004 is on drugs--with no decent signings, and all the clubs around us building up for next year,i cant see any reason for hope--Its funny, brian smith.is known as coach cranky--but can lure good players to his club, sheens can only lure penrith and north qld reserve graders.Without 2 top notch forwards and 1 back.this club is going nowhere--and even if they were around, they would not come to our mob--sad but true

So because our juniors havent set the world on fire like Karmicheal Hunt, our futures in tatters is it? Time sheens never promised too much this season. After our win over the warriors, he said he didnt think we were ready for that sort of performance and that he was surprised, IN my we will improve next season for sure, the expereince the younger guys are getting now is going to help them no end next season.

I've been one of the most negative people on here lately, but even I'm not that negative. In 2001, for Penrith we saw the debuts of Rooney, Lewis, Clinton, Rodney. Then they had a year to test their mettle in first grade. Last year we saw the results, a premiership.

I personally believe that Harrison, Halatau, Marshall, Collis, Farah, Gibbs and Fulton are better than the Penrith juniors and we will show that next year.

And let's remember, if we win one more game this year, we will have improved on last year!

Thats it joel, sometimes we forget to be patient and expect that bacause our juniors are great players for their age we think they're already good first graders, which they're not, they're average at best, we play them because we know the exposure will only help their development and fast track them into a good first grade player.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Patience is the key.
