There isn't Dire Straits yet

Our form isn't the best lately but we are not in Dire Straits yet guys..

If Canberra win it's got to be a 53 point f/a adjustment
If Panthers win we'll be 7th.

Eels Roosters won't affect our standings.

Titans winning won't affect our standings, Knights must have a f/a advantage great than 26 points.

After this weekend we are 6th still or 7th.

Broncos (A) - Although not easy we have had recent success there.
Warriors (H) - We'll have 3-4 guys back..
Parra (H - ANZ)- Going to be a close cracker of a game, they are not playing well.
Roosters (A)- Who knows....

I predict 4 points and 6th on the ladder..

i think its definitely dire straits time... forget about for and against - if we are producing that type of rubbish play a few weeks from finals then forget about it...
once again Brown has proven what an idiot he is with again persisting with Gasnier roaming around the field looking lost... put him right center and stop disrupting the entire backline..
yet another game where the halves proved the difference - Farrah and Marshall stood up when the game was tight, whereas Hornby and Soward went missing in action and the team lost all focus and direction.
we looked to be hoping for points rather then building any pressure or momentum...

They were interviewing Gasnier on Channel 9 today and even he said he feels uncomfortable playing anywhere other than right centre.

We are fu*ked this season, bring on 2009.

Regardless of where we finish we are not GF contenders.

I really cannot understand how we can win 7 in a row and now this. My blood pressure tablets really can't cope. Someone has to answer, and that person is surely only Brownie. Thank the stars he won't be our coach next year; he does not know what he is doing, regardless of the "best of intentions".

Because I believe his intentions are good, in a way I wish he was staying under Bennett, he would learn so much and perhaps go on to be a great coach. But then again, perhaps not.

Damn, I so much want the Saints to go on to the Semi's this year, but with Brownie at the helm it just won't happen. F*ck him.

Does any one know of a really good blood pressure tablet, so I can at least be alive to see 2009.

What's so special about 2009? You're all acting like we signed a super coach or something. haha

Well 6 premierships to his name is i suppose, not deemed worthy of a super coach? Lol. According to calculations, we need to win at least 3 from our last 4 to be a guaranteed spot in the finals. Can we do it? No, not on our current form anyway.

A coach aint going to win us a grand final even Jack Gibson as coach in 1971 could not win us a grand final. What will win us a grand final is a team of champions that kwow how to win coached by a champion coach.

our season is far from over people! like i said in an another thread, our tone would be alot different had we won against the tigers. but we didnt ...but we were also not at full strength..anyway in the coming weeks we will be playing some teams that we have the wood on eg: broncos, i cant remember the last time they beat us... we usaully beat them even when we got injuries, the roosters are another team we like tearing new arse holes for :) ...so all is not over yet....anything can happen come september !!!!

Yes Marty, very true,

But when the whips are crackin, we won't be there. Nor should we, the way we are playing at the moment.

I will bare my arse in front of the Taj if we make the GF this year. We are just not up to it. The players are, but the team and coach isn't. What a bastard of a position to be in; knowing you have the individuals to make it, but not the other 2 most important ingredients.

Dire Straits? Damn right there's Dire Straits for Saints... Money For Nothing should be played when Gasnier comes on the field. OR Les Girls.

We are f**ked.....one win outa the last 2 games would have sat us in a great position...now we have next to no forward pack and need to get lucky to win games coming home to finish 7th or 8th....

If a few closer results went our way we would still be one point behind the broncs
