The vulchers know all our Juniors.

For example on Fox teams tonight they were talking about KK and who else could step up. And then out of the blue (Adrian Lam who is assistant for the Roosters) says that the only other player that could step up was up at the School Boys comp at the NT playing. He was obviously referring to Albert Kelly.

Now that John Mannah,Tony Williams, Hodgkinson already gone what is our club going to do stop being raped like this???? Do we sign the young blokes up to a 5 year deal?

How do we stop other teams from poaching. Obviously the Roosters are already lining up Kelly.

Can't be stopped, when we produce or develop so much talent in our nurseries.

We can take a punt on one or two budding half backs, but can't keep them all. We'll get our punts right sometimes, and wrong othertimes, that's life.

But with loyalty being such a cheap commodity in our game, we have to just become a club that people want to stay and play for, or want to come back to later when they've already had a shot elsewhere. Coaching, facilities, spirit, sense of history etc... that's what will allow us to keep and re-attract as many of the kids that have come through our nursery as is possible, and reduce the impact of the clubs that poach.

Oh god, move with the times people. We need to manage our juniors correctly. We're not going to keep them all, and for most of these kids, playing first grade is the pinnacle, whether it's with Parramatta or not. They need to look after their own interests.

It's nearly August FFS. Nobody to blame but ourselves. We have managed our juniors appallingly the last year or two. Look at the broncos and the tough decision they have made with Petro. We needed to make a call like that, IMO, with some of our senior players, didnt, and this is the result.

It is a tough call to make and one i wouldn't personally want to make, yet it one of the reasons Broncos are constantly competitive in the Nrl, they don't let loyalty get in the way of their future.

honestly there is no way to keep all the juniors but what the club needs is better management of the juniors and better people looking after who does or doesn't get signed

for example signing Taulima Tautai ahead of Tony Williams from a schoolboy level Williams has been earmarked for big things and while Tautai is an ok player and one day might make a solid 1st grader, Williams will always be better, yet Hagan, Hill and co, re-sign Tautai and leave Williams un-signed.
