I watched the Cowboys v Broncos grand final again yesterday and that game was of a higher quality than this test series.

Personally i thought that most of the GF was shocking in terms of attack. Great defence by both sides but pretty boeing for 79 minutes

Imo england and NZ have more depth in quality now than ever, hopefully the international game gets more respect from the australian media and stakeholders so that they value it enough to not skip years sp they can go back to training in the first week of November.

The series went roughly as expected. I was picking England to win 2-1 or even 3-0. We had no halves so our attack was always going to stutter a bit. That's the way it's been for some time, NZ struggle to win up north, England struggle to win down south.

The real issue for England is the mental block they have whenever they play against Australia. That's the hurdle they need to find a way to overcome ahead of anything else.

That two Australian club sides produced a higher quality match than an international between England and New Zealand.

As far as points go, it's a pretty dumb one.

Individual matches can be good or bad due to a variety of circumstances. There have been a couple of Origin games in recent years that deserved to be wiped from memory.

4 nations next yr will be a blood bath. Is that Englands best team lol ? Newcastle would put 40 on them merkins

How would we ever know if all Australians are 'a bit tired' for international RL.

Hard to criticise England's back line when they didn't see much ball. Hall received about 1 pass from his centre the entire series. Watkins wouldn't have had a career in the old winter season - struggles in the wet. NRL sides will still be looking at him.

Yet the series is England's. Credit to the forwards and a decent kicking game from Smith

It was fairly close to their best spud....

So where the kiwis..

You only need to put johnson & foran back in this squad and they'd have won the series comfortably too!

They have the depth in the forward to cover the loss of JWH & mannering..

Manu vatuevi would of been useless in this series as no wingers saw the ball..

For all the bitching and moaning the kiwis still had a very experienced 3/4 line & pack..

I think what this series showed is that both NZ & England have great young forward packs with strength and depth, the question is can the Kangaroos match their forward power next year.

Team for next year:

1. RTS
2. SKD
3. Hiku
4. Whare
5. Vatuvei
6. Foran
7. Johnson
8. Bromwich
9. Luke
10.JWH
11.Proctor
12.Mannering
13.Taumalolo

14.Nikorima
15.Harris
16.Taupau
17.Matulino

18.Moa/Eastwood/Taukeiaho

This tour has developed Hiku into a ballplaying/kicking centre in the Jamie Lyon mould, and Nikorima as a good bench hooker.

This is pretty weak. A suburban comp game could be the very best game ever, how do we measure 'quality'?

I would have Tohu Harris in the starting lineup every time, I think he is a fantastic player.

Congrats England.

Much better game this time around. Enjoyed it on the whole.

This English half was a lot better than the previous guy.
How the Kiwis ran through the series with Hiku in the halves baffles me.
Oh, I think Tohu Harris is pretty pedestrian, pretty ordinary really.

England won not being at full strength. Kiwis lost not being at full strength so that levelled things up.

It's fair that NZ lost the number 1 ranking because they're IMO not the best League side at the moment.

Australia would beat both England and New Zealand at the moment. Oh actually thats the norm. Nah Australias the best.

I love the Kiwis cos Im Kiwi (HEARTY) but when I saw the squad, I too picked England to win it like so many other fellow Kiwis on there. Why not pick Benji? Kiwis since the days of Kevin Iro have always had decent centers but Kahu?? Whares ok, shouldve swapped Kenny Dowall for Kahu.

I don't know why the f**k people were moaning about Tohu Harris missing out cos of SBW awhile back. Well theres your Tohu Harris and what did he do? Nothing out of the ordinary. So to make the Kiwis you gotta be ordinary and not have anything to offer? DO SOMETHING MAN, PISS ME OFF.
