As a neutral fan it was a very disappointing series. England certainly deserved there victory however if they play like that against a full strength Australia or New Zealand it could get ugly. Having an English ref for an England vs New Zealand game is embarrassing and is a bad look for the series and the sport.

Just saying it how it was...

You lot are falling into the same trap we've been in for years...thinking it was closer than it actually was..

So i'll tell you again...ENGLAND WHERE NEVER IN DANGER OF LOSING GAMES 1&3 AND GAME 2 WAS A FREAK TEST..

we won despite several issues...playing a kid at 7 for 2 tests, widdop forgetting how to run forward, watkins having feet for hands, steve macnamara !!...and having several players on debut..

The england team was as far away from being full strength as the kiwis side was!!

Nz still have a vastly experinced 3/4 line & pack...lolohea is currently and will always be better than george williams....tui failed to show up

Hiku at 6 shows the same worries you have in kearney as we have in steve macnamara...both are tactically dumb...being too stubborn to pick benji marshall pretty much ended any serious chance NZ had in the series..

Like it or lump it and twist it how you want...nz lost

Do you agree that England really needs to improve their outside backs if they're gonna win a tournament? I was very underwhelmed by them, even Ryan Hall who usually does a couple of impressive things in a series/tournament. Atkins is terrible and there is zero threat when they spin the ball. The forwards and Roby keep them in it.

As one more supportive of the code than an individual country I congratulate England on their series win. Not the most exciting series I've seen but hey not every game can be a classic.

Yes, both teams were missing players ....but to me that just means there is potential for them to both increase their team strength and continue to challenge ...and defeat ...the Kangaroos on a regular basis.

The challenge now for England is to harness this winning feeling into a culture of confidence.

Hopefully they rise to the challenge and I wish them well for 2016 4N and the 2017 RLWC.

Congrats England. Kearney has to be held accountable for the Benji snub.

We'll be better next year with Johnson, Foran, Taumalolo, JWH, Mannering, Eastwood & Vatuvei back in the side.

no..not really..

watkins is just out of form..as is ryan hall to a lesser extent..

bateman isn't a center but he can hold his head up after this series...nowt got past him

joe burgess did nowt wrong, can't wait for the roosters to finish off his RL education

j-Mac had a excellent game yesterday..

zac did'nt put a foot wrong all series either.....but he's not a ball playing fullback like sam tomkins is..

the issue is our halves and the lack of structure..especially in games 1 and 2...

if we look back to last years 4nations, our attacking play looked very slick and structured...that was 100% down to widdop & matty smith having paul deacon as their attacking coach and tomkins playing that extra 6 role in the attacking line...last year most,if not all,of our tries came from the centers & wingers...this year without tomkins playing that extra 6 role the ball rarely made it past the 2nd rowers..hence why ferres & whitehead got 4 of the 7 tries we scored..(our 13 & 9 got the other 3 between them)..

matty smith showed yesterday why he should have been our 7 from game 1...he's not a thurston or johnson..never will be...but thats not his game...he's a quiet organiser who does the little thing very well that enables the team around him to play their own game..

Good on the Kiwis for at least trying to play footy in trying conditions, just couldn't finish it off early in the game and go into the break with a lead that they really should've had.

Can't for the life of me work out why the Sutton wasn't doing the game and why the Kiwis ever agreed to it. Grow some bloody balls.

As for the commentary, way to ruin a game guys.

Like you boys i want to see neutral refs, but tell that to the ARL when Australia play tests

Well said. Next years 4 nations will really be the true test of where Australia, England and New Zealand stand.

Yeah Tomkins is pretty important to that side.

Couldn't pick the game up this morning so watched the replay today at lunchtime.I was surprised by the quality of the game after listening to some of the moronic comments on here during the game. You guys do our game a disservice.Considering the game was played in trying conditions it was great entertainment, defences were on top despite the amount of ball movement.

And to any aussies chirping in with the "our full strength team would blah blah blah"

Which full strength team is that? The aging team that got stuffed in the anzac test.....or the next gen team that lost the last 4nations??

Cos the aussie team that plays in next years 4 nation will look more like the next gen team than the aging team..

The team that beat England. So, all of them. Every team of the last..... 9 years.

We have had weaker sides in the past, yet, England or Britain have only beaten Australia 4 times since 1995. (5 if you want to count Super League in 1997). Why is that?
