After 31 years the Dragons have finally won the comp. My wife who is a Saints fan was in tears as was half her family. I was happy for them. However let me tell you one thing, them winning it has made me so pumped for next year. When they were celebrating I was picturing Hindmarsh doing the same before he retires.

With Kearney coming and his philosophy of defence first and attack second, structure, discipline, humility (similar to the Dragons.) makes me positive for the future.

Its great for the game when the traditional teams are strong. Look at the other code. The biggest games of the last two years have all included the traditional teams.

The storm got rid of a first clase half back in Orford before they started their 4 grand final run. And they used a make shift half back in Cronk who wasn't definitely not a rep player or a half back - and guess what we have some of that coachiong staff at our club next year !! I am excitted

I agree with the sentiments.....2011 is looking up...and even if we don't achieve next year, 2012 is going to be our big year (massive recruitment drive during 2011 supposedly).
Have to hope our boys perform under the new coach, we all know they have the talent

Yep i was the same, watching the Dragons after 31 years of heartache lift the trophy brought envy haha. But the good thing is that the day it happens we will cherish it and ATM we are just working towards the pinnacle of winning the GF.

TBH I hope Kearney doesn't bring to much structure, I reckon in the 1st half the Dragons were gone, but the Chooks let off the hook only going into half time with a 2 point lead. If the lead was more the Dragons would've crumbled even more IMO. I hope Kearney employs some structure where needed but not over the top like the Dragons, as soon as structure comes up flamboyance like the Chooks they were gone. Just lucky the Chooks had a off day IMO, because when it works the structure crumbles.

Like I said hope he brings structure where needed but not over the top as I reckon having some flamboyance not over the top is very good to and is very dangerous.

I just hope the players have this way of thinking. It's all about attitude and not giving up. Apart from Cronulla & Souths, i cant think of too many teams that haven't won it over the past 20yrs.
