After 31 years the Dragons have finally won the comp. My wife who is a Saints fan was in tears as was half her family. I was happy for them. However let me tell you one thing, them winning it has made me so pumped for next year. When they were celebrating I was picturing Hindmarsh doing the same before he retires.

With Kearney coming and his philosophy of defence first and attack second, structure, discipline, humility (similar to the Dragons.) makes me positive for the future.

That'd be an incredibly fairytail, I still get a few shivers up my spine when I remember the beavers send-off in 08, i'd love for Hindy to grab a GF try right in the last minute...Then Hayne to top the night off brilliantly with a 4th try.

Avenger - please keep an eye on this thread if we make the finals and hopefully win the Grand Final - there are some very negative posts here and I have no doubt they will jump on the bandwagon and praise the team, praise Kearney, praise the Eels, etc.

After over coming the frustration of this season, and the botched handling of Anderson's sacking, I am looking forward to, nay bloody excited about 2011. On paper the Eels have a very good side that should be top 6, and with a new coaching set up, new approach, and new attitude, I am expecting a much better result.

If we come second last and have a shocker, remind me of this post, but I am expecting big things from the Eels in 2011.

I just wish when we got into grand finals it was against the team which ran last the year before and missed the finals the year after.
