Bloody hell mate, it's late and I didn't need an essay. For me Widdop is the one kicking arse ahead of Hunt. Dufty is improving but stop bringing up Dugan already. He stopped tries from the opposition Dufty is going well in attack but his defence needs tweaking. Stop putting shit on ex-players and I might show you a little respect. Didn't Lafai get a hat-trick too? You forgot to mention him.
Nothing wrong in saying Dugan was not a good player, couldn't score tries, couldn't pass, couldn't try assist, could defend.

One from four.

Dufty already surpasses him.

If it takes a fullback to STOP tries, then others aren't doing their jobs.

Give it a break. I can't see anyone endorsing you on this thread. The difference this year is we have two forward thinking players that have joined our club. It's definitely not a competition between Dugan and Dufty. Totally different players. One has plays for Oz and the other one is learning his game. What exactly is your point Frank? Make it quick because I'm off to bed.
So you don't compare McCrone to Hunt or McIness with Rein?!!
It's a free speech place around here DQ. Comparing new buys to old players is fair game in spite of your protests.

No, I will not stop telling everyone what a difference having Dufty in our side is compared to Dugan. Dugan handicapped our attack for four years. Dugan didn't score many tries. Dugan didn't set up many tries. Dugan spend a lot of time on the sideline. Dugan was cumbersome compared to Dufty. Dugan's defence at the back doesn't win games. Dugan took up too much cap space. We only made the semi's once when Dugan was our fullback. I was also saying the exact same things about Dugan when he was playing for us. Now he is Cronulla's problem.

Dufty can be a match winner. Dufty has added another dimension to our attack. Dufty scores tries. Dufty sets up tries. Dufty is quick. So far Dufty's defence hasn't cost us any games. Dufty hasn't missed the team bus either. Dufty is still improving. Dugan's best form for us, was for half a season in 2013. He never recaptured that form.

I am waiting until around two thirds of season to post a thread and poll asking fans who they would prefer us to have at fullback, Dufty or Dugan, like I said I would after Dufty made his debut for us in round 20. You will only get to vote once Drag Queen.
Agree Frank.
And say what you want, don't be bullied by DQ!

I honestly can’t see another point being scored against us all year, such is our supreme dominance and absolute superiority over the rest of the comp in every aspect of rugby league. In fact, all opposing team may as well not bother playing, there is only one outcome.

I’m surprised that they haven’t already sent the Provan-Summons trophy to the engravers and put in the order for 17 Clive Churchill medals (it’s not fair to single out one player when a team goes through the season undefeated and wins the GF by a million points).

Now, where did I put my 2009 Premiers t-shirt and winnings from my 2011 Minor Premiers payout...

I've heard rumours that most clubs, if not all, have offered to forfiet all our upcoming games, they feel it will give them the best chance to beat the other teams the following week in the race to come second.

I agree!! I was thinking this exact thing actually before going to bed last night! DUFTY changes EVERYTHING and proves outright just what a waste of cap and a total plodding speed hump Dugan was!! IM SO Glad hes gone....we were right us ones wanting him gone aswell.... its a different team...

It will all depend on if we can maintain and improve. Let us see where we are after the origin period. Then we will know if we are contenders.

Based on the opening four rounds you would expect we are top 8 material. A lot can changed quickly in rugby league.

Team is going great but a nagging feeling that the coaching staff is going to f**k it up again and ware out the forwards so we plod into the 8 and don't make the second week remains. I have great confidence in the side but not the staff that has shown no innovations or ability to think of more than one plan. Then again I also think surely we have learnt from the past 3 years ? If not there needs to be an investigation !!

We will know more by the month after origin how we are traveling.

Does anyone know if there is someone new having an input into the attack. They do not look like the same team as the last few years and I find it hard to believe that the incumbent coaching staff suddenly learnt how to structure the attack.

Yeah to me it looks like Hunt, Widdop and Dufty are running thier own plays.
You can see the looks to each other when one of them comes off.
