You could understand changes being made if they were consistent with change of strategy or aimed at fixing a problem.

Strategy change would mean defensive type wingers or Big wingers. Mellars, Saleh etc. It would happen on both wings.

Plugging a deficeincy. Bails for Goldy. Bails was given bath after bath earlier this year playing in the centres. Neither will do the job until the defnsive problems are fixed from a coaching point of view.

Simmo for Merrit.
Has anybody seen simmo in PL? f**king rank average. & merrit I believe has played his best over the last 5 weeks. Is merrit dropped because of the drop kicks?

The changes are inconsistent, ridiculous & amateurish. Bordering on incompetent.

Is it unusual to drop players after the team has been announced in Big League, and the Daily Newspapers? Perhaps the changes if they do occur are as a result of injury?

Which senior player at the club, other than BK, would force such wholesale changes? It particularly makes sense when Bailey is the only runner he really likes passing to. Otherwise it's a cutout to Rieck - who is safe.

Maybe he didnt like the team around him failing last week and making him look bad in his comeback? #-o

Merritt dropped for his dropkicks? That's the only thing that can make sense there too.

Dont mean to be such a conspiracy theorist but thats the only way I can make sense of this. Then again, we've been f**king ordinary over the past 2 months (contrary to what everyone in the club is claiming) so I guess I'll just have to give them a go.

I can understand the McGoldrick change, personally it has been a long time coming.. I can see the guy has potential, but at the moment, in my opinion he is not up to First Grade..
The change i cant understand is dropping Merritt for Simmons.. Merritt has played pretty well in the last few games, and Simmons as someone already mentioned has been very ordinary.. :?

What the f**k!! I dont mind McGoldrick to be dropped, but for Bailey!!!! WHAT ABOUT KENT, has he forgotten about the great defensive man??? And Merritt for Simmons, Simmons has done jack in PL and still runs like hes a slow arse when he has speed. My main question, why the f**k isnt Kent either in the centres or wing?? Especially when considering we hav crap defence. With these changes, not so confident . Hopefully proven wrong

Funny thing is, in the past when members have posted that the reason so-and-so was dropped was really due to something else, the forum bullies have launched into them with scorn and ridicule. :evil:

Now, because one of the said bullies is suggesting that this game will 'be the beginning of Raper's downfall', suddenly the conspiracy theories all become legitimate. :lol:

For the record, I have no idea why Rapes has done this and I have no opinion as to whether or not he has done the right thing! But, he's the coach and he's done it, and he is the one who will live or die by it, not me. :shock:

Cant say I think it will be his downfall, I am just REALLY suprised Kent isnt in the equation :? . I would have thought he'd be first in line for any backline positions. If Bailey is in the Centres, who will be slotting in his position (i guess Hilder) or taking a position on the bench? Dumas?

Why would Kent be in there.
Its his last game for the club. So why is Bickers & why is Reick?
Nothing makes sense & there is no logic.
Drop Goldy ? Why? Defense? Then why not Bird too? Why not Kimmorley? BKs lack of defense resulted in 2 tries. What about Nutts? he had 5 misses, again 2 resulted in tries .
Sully?
OK so its a defensive issue? Our worst defender ever is Simmo.

Not to mention Bails absolutely positively does not want to play centres. He is facing 2 of the best centres in the game & with Bowen sniffing around them he is going to get carved up.

Injuries? Unlikely. Bickers is carrying & he is still named.

Why did we buy Mellars?

Nah mate...I didn't even realise you were the only one who mentioned the dreaded 'C-word', I just think it's funny how people who paint themselves as being 'in the know' get caught off guard when a coach goes all radical. So they have to get the crystal ball out and start making sh!t up.

Like me, you seem surprised by the changes but you're prepared to let Rapes wear the responsibility for them without suggesting that he's gonna get the chop because of one team sheet.
