Why the call for Saleh ... because he scores 4 tries in PL .... Rieck scored 5 and he cops a bagging everytime he plays 1st grade.

This simmoms selection has me perplexed though, hope it's a master stroke :)

Why call for Saleh?
Easy. He is the best winger in the club.
has not had a poor performance this year.
Couldnt give a shyte about his 4 tries. Its the 2 or 3 he stops every week that mattes to me.

Saleh has a wealth of experience as well. As for Merritt out, could be an injury. I think he was concussed late in the game last week thanks to Niges shoulder.

FFS all we're missing now is the late inclusion of aitken on the bench to keep his seat warm for a good 68 minutes and raper will have his selection policy finalised.

i haven't seen this anywhere else so im sorry but i am still not convinced that this is anything more than a wind-up. don't mean to doubt anybody i am just unaware. what is the source for the news of these changes ?

IF this is true then this is just ridiculous. the last goddam straw as far as i am concerned. none of these changes make any sense for all the reasons given above. this is no masterstroke this is just plain suicidal and i for one would not be happy at all farkit.

and just for the record in the unlikely event that we win our way thru to the finals and even if simmons scores the match-winning try running off a phil bailey break thru the centres then i will still say that this was not the best possible team selection

When named in the 2nd Row, Bails stands out in the centres a lot for someone who doesn't like it!!

He'll do alright if he plays there.

Yes and that is where you want a running back rower to be playing .. the grunt work up the middle is what we have props for....

"Running back rower", "centre", what's the difference ???

I just don't understand how Bails can dislike playing in the centres when he spends most of his time there anyway!

I could be a ploy by Raper to put the Cowboys in 2 minds as to the make up of our side and that the side that was picked originally is the side playing ;-).

It was probably about time for something - we had 4-5 good weeks where we challenged the top sides without quite getting there and then beat the Chooks - since then we have played like busted assholes. Losses to Parra and Melbourne at home - please.

since it hasn't been in the media, i doubt the cowboys would even know about these changes

unless they're a nerdy team

because of his lack of true speed, he gets given a bath in defense.
Earlier in the year he got dusted badly for many tries against the likes of the Cowboys.
he is fine running outwide , when there are centres already there. But now he is one of the centres & will have to try & make something from nothing. Much like the way when he was marked against Parramatta 2 weeks ago.

well they are all in Townsville (plus Simmo as the travelling reserve). As far as I know the final run on side has not been decided yet and all there is is possibilities being discussed.

This is absolute crap.
I come all the way to Townsville to see Mad Max play footy and he gets dropped for probably our worst winger to ever play in Sharks colours, f*ck me dead, I will be giving it to Simmons all night.
I'm going over to the training run shortly and vent my anger to all and sundry.

I am pissed of.

f**k the sharks and f**k the coach.

Coach of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Graham Murray announced at this mornings training session that Kevin Campion, Matt Sing and Glenn Morrison would all play tomorrow night against the Sharks.
All three players are returning ahead of schedule from substantial injuries Sing, fractures jaw, Morrison, fractures back and Campion torn bicep. Cowboys Captain Travis Norton and second rower Luke O'Donnell and Neil Sweeney will be given time to get over some injuries leading into the clubs first appearance in the final series.
The exact make of the run on side is not yet known, as the coach will make his decisions overnight.
