that's a bluff team. Out of last week we have Vags injured, Peach injured, Bailey also possibly injured (possibly the same troublesome foot) no surprise to see no captain and 22 players named as they probably have no idea whos' fit yet

Now this duck hasn't got a prediction right since Beatrix was a girl but I'm thinking the team could possibly look this way

If Peachey is injured, they'll play Aitken in the centres with Franze or McGoldrick on the wing for Merritt/Simmons, who will be fullback.

Here's how I see it panning out.

If Peachy pulls out...

Aitken stays on the bench. Franze into the centres, McGoldrick out to the wing, Simmons into fullback. Simmo went to fullback when Peach came off, so I'd imagine he's next in line.

I can't imagine Simmo being fullback.
rapes will play a 50% peach before putting simo there.
Hassan looks like he's just out of the picture completely but from reports, he's been going well at the back ( defensively).
I'd be looking for another WTF from Stuey re-fullback.

Aitken won't start, no matter what, would be my tip based on Rapers reluctance of massive change & preference for experience.
It does sem like Reece Williams is on the outter after a quiet game against the Broncs & a couple of errors. He may well be first to drop of the seat.

As Garbs said, Simmo went back there at the end last Sunday so I think he would have to be the front runner.

We need the Peach bad though.

There's no way McGoldrick will be moved from the centres to the wing.

I'd be reluctant to put Simmons at fullback for 80min this early. Saleh is pretty solid and experienced.

Vagana and Peach out of the backline would be disastrous.

When Civa-whatever scored his try at the end he ran over the top of simmons who was playing fullback at the time,that worries me a bit or maybe it was all over by then and he didn't put a big effort into stopping the man mountain.

I'm told that If Peachey is out, Merritt will move to Fullback with most likely Saleh to come in on the Wing.

That's Merritt's best position and he played there when Peachey was on walkabout during the trials this year.

Merritt may not be in the class of peach but he'll do a fantastic job covering for him.

you say it worries you. I hope you don't mean it as a criticism. Geez, 193cm and 110 kilos from about 4 metres out vs about 80 kilos dripping wet, late to the line because he was covering for a possible kick would be a very harsh crit mr blueboatboy imo

merritts has no merit BTW

forget the recent test match. if peach is out and Vagana in put him at fullback and see what he can do with a bitta ball coming at him for a change

Just to update according to the Sharks web -site
Simmo will be fullback - Peach is out
Franze will be right centre - Vagana is out.
Kent has come in on the wing for Simmo.
