Time for Kerr to really cement a position in this Wests team with Benji out for the year. He'll be primed for a big one. Wilson at 5/8th...As long as he takes the line on and feeds the backs with quality ball, he'll get the job done, something Fitzhenry seems to struggle with. I'd be using Fitzhenry's speed out wide on the wing to our advtange. Put it in behind the Warriors, they are big fella's and take longer to react and turn around, Fitzhenry off the mark chasing the ball could prove to be a masterstroke.

yep, though gobbso that means that fitzy's gotta come infield looking for the ball if he is to get behind any kicks. murphy and fa'afili aren't exactly the slowest members of the warriors line up. fitzy is about an even match for them, but if he gets some quality ball (from kerr) then he should be able to finish it off - like he showed us he can in the last few minutes against the storm.
though i am mightily relieved meli isn't playing. there's not a man in our team that could get him down by himself. even greco roman champion skando would struggle. we really lack size, and this worries me in our young guys too.
and graham's stint with us may be over by the halfway point of the season. can't think why we need him anymore. anyone have shane richardson's mobile number? pity langers is gone - he would have signed him up without us even giving him a nudge!

Im happy with the team and its realistically our best available team at the moment. Obviously Buettner needs another couple of games in PL. This certainly will be a game for Kerr to make an impression. Now that Marshall is out its between Kerr and Buettner for that 5/8 position so i'll be looking for a big game from Kerr. Fitzy on the wing does worry me, but im expecting Elford to swap with Fitzy in defense.

Halatau ceertainly derserves his chance and im quietly hoping for big things from dene this sunday. Its good to see our strongest pack of the year there, i believe we can see off the warriors forwards and give them some of their own now.

Lastly, Gibbs has been named in PL but not Covell, dont know what this means but it could well mean Gibbs to be the one who drops off?

Good point Blocker, i'd give Fitzhenry a roaming commission, similar to the way the Dragons allow Blacklock, to roam and float around the field, getting into dummi half, and taking pressure off the frowards. Might as well use his speed to our advantage.

Thank god that imposter Mark O'Neil is out this week. They reckon Justin Hodges is overated, please this bloke is ordinary!!!! Give some of the young blokes a go starting like Bronson Harrison and Gibbs who take it to the line and actually try to hurt the opposition. O' Neil has been a good loyal defensive player over the years but if the tiges are to kick on this year they must flick him and at best have him on the bench. Without Benji and Prince this wk the tigers are a 100-1 even with a weakened warriors side.

Um the last time oneil was out against souths skandalis missed 9 tackles how do u missed 9 tackles against souths  im not saying skandalis is over-rated or anything just that he looks better with O'Neil there
like it or not O'Neil is a big part of our team and we have relied on our defense too win games

Skando wasn't the only one with a huge amount of misses in that game either.

Whenever we lose Buckets it tends to show up in the other players stats - he does so much cleanup work that goes unnoticed.

On the upside I'm expecting a big game from Dene this week - he must be rated an outside chance for the NZ squad at the end of the year (still unlikely but his good form and versatility combined with the warriors poor performance could see him grab a spot) and this game will be a very good chance for him to get himself noticed by the people that count.
