I know we're only in Round 7, but is anyone seriously going to stop the Storm or the Broncos?

In an incredibly dour year for point scoring, Melbourne and Brisbane have actually managed to rack up plenty of points a game. And have they actually looked challenged in games? Brisbane have had some tight calls, yet they've looked comfortable in every game (yes, I know the Broncos lost to the Cowboys, which was a miraculous win). Melbourne have looked unstoppable.

The embarrassing for and against for the entire ladder tells the rest of the story. The Tigers, Titans and Eels are diabolical, the rest have moments of brilliance but mostly put in terrible performances. It's no wonder we see so many low scoring games at the moment.

The ladder is effectively:

1.Melbourne

2. Brisbane

3. Daylight

It's still early days and I don't think the Broncos have the maturity to keep this intensity up all season.

Dumb dumb thread.
Simple question..
Are premierships won in March/April?

So true, this time last season the Dragons looked unbeatable, come September they caused very little waves. On the other hands the Warriors started the season with a loss to a woeful Parramatta and ended kicking the minor premiers out of the finals.

That said the Sea Eagles despite being marred by injury in the early round of last season, looked pretty promising early.

dragons also looked unbeatable early last season and see what happened to them. Both teams are playing extremely well atm though and are highly deserving of their positions

They are the standouts of the competition so far yes, but Brisbane couldn't match Melbourne in the big games just yet. And that's coming from a Broncos fan.

We have it over them in the forward pack arguably and the backs but their key positions are unbeatable while ours are for the most part young and inexperienced.

It is not a 2 horse race. Way too early to make that call.

Souths are making our charge up the ladder. I could see us easily finishing 3rd after 26 rounds.

It might be a 3 horse race then, but it's certainly not a 2 horse race now.

f**k the Donkeys and the Drizzle. Yes, they're clearly the best 2 teams in the comp, but f**k 'em both anyway.
