If they took the game away from Sunday and played 1 Thursday night but still 2 Friday night it would be pretty good but it f**ks your Friday night only 1 game being on.

I wouldn't be surprised to see NRL leverage more money out of fox next time with a every game live deal like they have with afl. It would be a big subscription driver for them, especially if nine get the fta rights again, god forbid!

i much prefer one live game on a Friday

the second game is not worth watching as it starts late and is chock a block full of ads

usually i can make a choice on Fridays as i can get NBN GC and 9 GC. i'll watch one and record the other and then fast forward through ads, half time and try replays

i never watch the 9:30 game if both channels are showing the two games in the same order

Thursday night footy is bloody great - feels like the weekend has started a day early.

Having a game on Thursday beats having two games on long drawn out commercial riddled Friday.

As others have said, better than a delayed broadcast on any day/time.

Also Thu night feels like a fri night with the footy on early so I only have to live with 2 days without football

Monday night footy is more harmful to clubs than Thursday but Fox will never give it up.

From a social perspective I like the Thursday game as it gives you an excuse to talk footy at work straight up ! Plus provides pub pre game discussion on Friday arvo


Like others the Friday game two is watched next morning - often whilst doing other things so not glued to the set.

Finding that I am a little over CH.9 Sunday game as well these days and unless its a real big block buster it most likely plays second fiddle to socialising or god forbid - housework :crazy:

2 Friday night, 1 Sydney blockbuster at Allianz & 1 qland
3 live fox Saturday games
3 Sunday games, 2 live fox 1 live fta (Sydney blockbuster at anz)

Definately in 9's intrests to change it, I imagine they could get some more out of the betting companies in sponsorship as the delayed game must hurt the live betting
