I mean you can risk it, but it's hardly worth it if they complain. Normally I'd say workplace laws don't apply to a rugby league field, but this is kind of a societal norm as well.

- fortunately I haven't lived in Australia for the last 30+ years, but watch and read from afar as the nation falls into silliness. Not all countries in the world are triggered by the divisive nonsense that takes place in Australia.
My sons are biracial, and in their early years went to school in Australia- and constantly teased about their appearance (as was I) Dad's advice ? "ignore them, it's a bigger man that walks away". Both my boys are happy, healthy, well adjusted men, without a chip on their shoulder looking for excuses in life.
Children get upset about words, not mature mentally well adults.
