Thurston - Leniu incident

Thurston has form calling out shit in the media that has affected him in some way. He did it numerous times in his career without punishment - commenting on active judiciary cases, alleging corruption by referees towards the Cowboys. He's a little bitch, no doubt.

So I don't blame Spencer for having a go at him, but he was very aggressive in his approach (as is often the case with people who have brains the size of a peanut) and I'll be surprised if nothing more comes of it. Still, if his point about Thurston being 'two-face' is about Thurston not commenting on Mam's own indiscretion, it's a stupid one, and I'm not surprised the usual suspects here on LU can't work out the difference - especially when they keep espousing incorrect nonsense about Mam's incident.

Oh, and yeah, somehow Trent Robinson comes across as the biggest f**kwit out of the three of them. Solid effort.

I'm not for or against Thurston, but to be a hypocrite he would have to treat the same subject in different ways. What does his opinion on Leniu have to do with Mam's driving offence?
The obvious contradiction is his morality.

He's now paid to commentate - very good - commentate away.

Name calling, not involving him personally, left Thurston so aggrieved he was compelled to not just comment publicly, but to go on an attack.

A player breaks the law, is high on drugs, drives without a license, and inflicts injury to a child that could affect the kid for a lifetime - crickets

The real victim here is Ezra Mam. Just imagine for a moment someone called you a name. I just don't think I could possibly bare it.

The psychological damage inflicted would be immense - Right up there with attaching bayonets to fight the Germans, or midnight recky missions in the jungles of Nam in the 60's .

Sticks and stones I can deal with, but the names .....oh mummy.

How Thurston never got destroyed for saying that bullshit is one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen. Saying that he was emotional so it was okay, why was Toovey fined then? At least Henry got punished by never winning anything.

I really don’t think you should be the one to talk about morality. I mean you’re the one who thinks Ben Roberts-Smith is a war hero.

Nothing like a series of some of the most atrocious takes you’ve ever seen over the last few days to remind you that the average league fan has an IQ the same as Leniu. Coincidentally the same number he has on the back of his jersey.

I have 2 blonde haired, blue eyed daughters.
When they were being silly , I'd call them cheeky monkeys...
Racism traditionally means to treat someone differently because of their race. Ironically if Ezra was being silly, it would be racist if I didn't call him a monkey...

" I'm offended " is a modern hack, used to get what you want now but is causing long term harm and real Racism to come into play.
No grown man is genuinely hurt by being called a Monkey. They're just taking a free ride.

That's a more valid point than Karensons lads have raised. Again, though, it's predicated on this being about Mam.

No one, not one person, has answered the question of how Thurston stating that Leniu's suspension for making a racists comment was too lenient is actually about Ezra Mam.

I'm not for or against Thurston, but to be a hypocrite he would have to treat the same subject in different ways. What does his opinion on Leniu have to do with Mam's driving offence?
I'm an expert lip reader and can verify that Spencer was politely enquiring as to JT's thoughts on Sam Kerr's recent racially toxic comments. JT said its irrelevant as she doesnt play rugby league... that's when Spencer correctly called JT a f**king merkin..

End of.

In an endless procession of horrendous takes, this one just about takes the cake.

Congrats mate.

His problem with Thurston is jt said he should’ve got 12 weeks when leniu got into Ezra but then didn’t say much when he had his driving incidents which are way more serious

Sure he’s unhinged but it’s funny
Pretty sure Thurston said anyone guilty of racial vilification should get 12 and made no mention of Leniu. Of course, it was in response to Leniu getting 8 but Leniu is too dumb to not take it personally and to not then instantly play the victim when he was actually the perp.

Leniu should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute for letting his personal gripe get in the way of everyone out there just doing their job. Thurston was out there just doing his job and to be street thug at him on the field because he took Thurston's principled and brave comments personally is out of line.

Fine the merkin. Or give him 12! :D
