Well yeah, that's a good point. What is Thurston meant to do, ring up the papers and say 'hey guys, I went hard on Leniu but now Ezra has f**ked up, I don't want to be seen as a hypocrite, get your pen and paper out, here's a story about how I now also don't condone his behaviour, either'.

The NRL f**ked it up by not giving a bigger sentence for Ezra, instead making it one f**king week longer to ensure the headlines couldn't be 'drug driving is less important to the NRL than name calling'.
