In Thurstons defence though, who hasnt wanted to kick Wolfman in the head and spit on Trent Barrett from time to time?? be honest. He's only human.

The kick was reactionry, anyone who has played sport before would understand in that kinda situation its not thinking then action its just body reacts first. Cant blame him however if I was Gidley after that kick I would have drilled him with haymakers pinning him to the ground. Gidley just pushed his head into the ground what a waste of possible beating up QLDer time!

Im pretty sure someone called Ben Creagh a "big smelly head" which hurt his feelings so I'd say Captain Kurt was pre-occupied with trying to console his sobbing big tough backrower at that time, no time for fighting.

I loved it how cut the sister f**kers were that they were 'out passioned'.

Crying, fighting, screaming.

If you can't play Rugby League, resort to cheap shots and lame threats.

uhhhh... This QLD side can obviously play rugby league, creating origin history should have been a pretty big clue for you on this one.:sarcasm:

Gidley was probably more disappointed Thurston didn't take Wolfhack out of the game

They failed at it last night. When NSW actually played with heart and aggro, QLD had nothing but cheap hits and wind.

'grats on the 4 series, but I think we're going to be seeing a new NSW from now on.

About time NSW showed something, even as a QLD fan, watching NSW this year was embarrassing, not that I felt sorry for them one bit, the selectors made their bed and now have to lie in it, but the way in which they rolled over in the first 2 games was atrocious and cheapened the series somewhat.

Last nigh we were missing Folau, Petreo, Hannant and Myles. We will be right next year.

Reactionary or not, it deserved a suspension. Remember Beau Scott a few weeks back? 2 weeks for a slide tackle which missed.

Thurston has always been a grub and cheap shot merchant.

The "darling" of the press should be facing 2-3 weeks on the sideline for the kick and a few more for the spit.

But that would of course stop the media icon winning another dally m

pffft

Thurston didn't arrive with the boot until Williams grounded it. FMD - the mail arrives quicker! Slater - the king of this dog act, at least is there BEFORE the ball goes to ground - hence his defence argument about stopping a try. Thurston could only argue that he wanted to stop a post try celebration. The fat slob Chris Close could have waddled down from the Caxton quicker!

Scott got 1 week with an early plea for minimal contact to the ribs before a ball was planted.
Merritt got 2 weeks for minimal contact to the head but without a kick just a slide.
Thurston gets 0 weeks for a hefty swing of the boot, a good second or two AFTER the ball is planted and doesn't even come close to touching the ball.

I love the consistency. Based on the precedents they've set this season it was worth at least 3 weeks. But we can't have Thurston lose the Dally M can we? Then Waterhouse is is looking at 1 week even with a plea for making a tackle on Price trying to break up a fight, they can't even get any consistency in a game, let alone a season.

What about the NSW player (forget who?) who slid in with his feet when DJ when over the line for QLD for the first try.

Only difference is he didn't really connect, the intent was still there.

Let both go.

I'm not laughing at his injuries rather the lame attempt by Kidley to generate some form of sympathy.

I care about the Williams' state as much as you care about Price's.

i like Steve Price, i was actually freaking out and worried when he wasn't moving. i don't tend to lol at injured footy players...no matter who they play for.

actually that's a lie, i enjoyed Inglis and his 'broken jaw' in game 2. because he's a traitor.
