My favourite was when he slapped Scott in the face and then hid behind his team mates.

What a cat

This Shit wouldn't happen if Gallen didn't ruin fighting.

They would punch on after 10 mins and it would be over.

pretty much this. its actually the refs fault for this. if gallen was binned they wouldnt have had the crackdown. last night there would have been 3 fights in the first 5 mins and then they would have gotten on with playing footy. instead we had cheap shots and niggle from both sides all night trying to bait the other into throwing a punch

JT def lost his shit. reynolds is renowned for his actions, i remember earlier in the year against maloney he was causing maloney to react as well to what he was doing. he's good at the niggle, shame you cant belt him like previous years cos i reckon he';d get decked every game

Was Thurston off his game? No doubt, even in Game I he was. But he has also carved NSW apart for many years and and is their highest-point scorer of all time. Guy deserves a ton of credit.

This biggest difference between Reynolds and Ennis is that Reynolds will take his lumps.

he reminds me of one of those little terriers which takes on the rotties. has no concept of size difference or self preservation. still if players were allowed to thump each other for dirty shit we may ahve had it all out and done with in the first 10mins and gotten to see some footy

I thought it was just JT realising that the game was over and him deciding to get one cheap shot in on a guy who dished out his fair share across the game and got away with it.

Turns out I wasn't too far off.

Wasn't the right thing for JT to do, but if the referees aren't going to do anything about it, well.

It's weird as the refs showed they werent really policing the ruck early when and set the precedent that if there was a slight slap, elbow in the tackle and you react and stop the play the ball then you will get a penatly. e.g Scott getting slapped, and when Myles reacted to the facial and got the penalty. they wouldnt have penalised this if the player played the ball.

At that point I was thinking the game would have been more of a farce if it continued that way.

I agree 100% with this.

Hardly a criminal act but seems a bit of sour grapes, but thats footy really, if you can't win then start a friggin stink.....

He was poor in attack, but JT played exceptionally well in defence, made some great one on one tackles when needed, certainly not his best game though.

Even with that slap to Scott, which was silly, it followed a high tackle on GI which saw a bunch of players rush in, hold up play and the referees decide to call play on.

They weren't consistent at all with the ruck and I think it lead to a 'take no prisoners' approach. Strange that Queensland were considered 'twice' as bad as NSW but the game was being played at Sydney...similar things happened up here.

Reynolds punches Gillett in the head in that video, both Gillett and JT react to it.

The match was full of niggling shit by both sides.

JT lost his cool.

but still, there was nothing in it. Didn't even deserve a penalty or being put on report.

Yes, thanks for describing the video for everyone too lazy to click on it eloyd.

My Bad, that cleary shows what JT was reacting too.

Makes me feel better about the whole incident now.

Booing Tate as his career ended would be up there with the classier things NSW crowd has done over the years. Suddenly Tate is Public Enemy No1 because a guy with a history of neck problems had the temerity to say he was concerned about a spear tackle??? WTF?

The way I read your post I thought you were saying nothing happened in the tackle for JT to react to.

Seems Canard read it that way too.

Neither should be punished, but it wasn't really an out of the blue brain explosion from JT because we were losing.
