Maybe its cooperation and goodwill required between season ticket holders and the club. Ticket members to confirm over the net or by phone they are going to the game, say two or three days before kick off and those not going, the club can issue those seats for sale for the benefit of the footy club. Proceeds to improve services, amenities, entertainment, etc. At least we get a real full house instead of 5 thousand empty seats.

Then there has to be some organisation involved which could easily be done by email. If there are 1 thousand empty single seats available but are scattered throughout different bays and terraces etc, why can't seated ticket holders cooperate by moving one seat up or down or across to create two seats or more next to each other, including up and down rows front & back. Some kind of cooperation (if possible) could help the club sell a few thousand extra seats... provide some incentives as in great entertainment before during and after each game.

Something to think about..... maybe the Eels could become trend setters in this area!!!!!!!!

Looking at ticketek the only seats are in the corners in the terraces and at the ends.

would need 1-2k turning up on the day to get a sellout

But the problem is; We are not getting this 2k walkup.

The reasons probably are;

- Press claiming its a sell-out = people think its not worth trying to get in
- The corners/behind in goals are a poor view with no bigscreen/replays

and so on.....

And the problem is, it really detracts from the atmosphere, it looks/feels so much different when you cant see any seats anywhere.

IMO, get rid of the bloody billboards, move them back to the top of the hill and allow a couple thousand extra into each end.

How many season ticket holders are there altogether?

A PAX of 4500 on the day was a crowd of 11177 against Nth Qld.

I never normally pay attention to the PAX - just did on that occasion since our crowds against the Cowboys are normally complete rubbish.

So 7822 would be close to 15k I suppose?
If that was on Weds I guess it might be getting close to sold out?

Back to the issue - I think we need that 'supposed' southern grandstand to be built (adds 2.5k to seating capacity).
Surely Parra stadium needs to be upgraded overall to a 30k seating stadium?

To cater for the incredible interest in this Saturday’s Jack Gibson Cup blockbuster between the Parramatta Eels and the Sydney Roosters, the Eels have today released additional tickets to the public . This will be the final release of remaining tickets

Good seats are still available in the Eastern, Northern and Southern Terrace, whilst the club has also released a series of obstructed view seats across the venue. As at 1pm Friday there are 2000 tickets available.

Fans are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets to avoid disappointment. Junior passes will not be permitted into the venue.

Just like last year.

I have already got an extra 6 tickets for the Tigers game, and with it being a local team that is actually well supported, and a Sunday Arvo game, if you want to go to this game, or take some extra mates, I would get in now, as the pax is already up around 5K I think.

That's the dilemma I faced, went to purchase 4 tickets for the roosters game (3 kids and I) but there weren't any without splitting us all up which is not on. So we purchased 6 tickets for the tigers game in the Eastern Terrace. Now the club issues a few more thousand tickets for the Roosters game!!!! If I knew those tickets were available or were definitely being released I would have waited and purchased them. Can't afford to take two small groups to two games. Now I am thinking of possibly going on my own to watch the Roosters game.

I wouldn't buy the restricted view tickets for the kids unless they are tall/older kids. You might as well take them down the local park and stare at handrails there.
