“The facilities are 1980s. We need to upgrade our facilities and that was the most urgent thing.” – Mick Potter.

And would that stop any injuries occurring or minimize them or even minimize time off the field ?

if the coach is right and the facilities are 30 years old then yes an upgrade should assist in reducing injury time. a lot has changed in medicine over the past 30 years. why are you so dead set against seeing that this is an issue?

Nothing can stop injuries occurring, though improved strength and conditioning could theoretically, possibly reduce the amount of injuries.

Better facilities and equipment could also reduce time off the field.

I'm not against seeing it as an issue if the loonies would calm down a little. Its not a significant factor in the teams performance. We should of course try and make sure that our facilities are up to the required standard.

When the loonies start stating we have more injuries than other teams (when we don't) and the reason is because of our facilities and then they state that is why we have had shithouse seasons recently I have to call bullshit because it is bullshit.

I'd add that the loonies don't just state that our facilities are shithouse. They also state that our medical staff are incompetent.

There might be some impact but even then you are drawing a long freaken bow.

Our win/loss records over then last few years also have alot to do with it. Players don't rush back and stick to medical timelines when the side is demotivated.

Also our pathetic training facilities and budget restraints are a huge issue. Which star player is going to sign with a club training out of 15 year old facilities.

I heard the equipment at concord has NFJ scratched into one machine.
That's how ancient the gear is.

NFJ = Nick Farr Jones.
