I was sure I read that he did Clifferd.

and

However this link is interesting:

see both Kyle Lovett & Curtis Sironen played in the Tigers 2010 SG Ball team and for the Magpies team, Nofoaluma at fullback, Tedesco on the wing, Sue in 2nd row and Skillton listed in squad.

Plus a couple of old Tigers in Brooks and McVey as coaches.

Cheers

Cheers Clifferd.

Rosco, so I assume that he Curtis, was told where he stood prior to being selected for City team, hence his old man speaking about him and Cartwright.

Father Paul previously had a role with the clubs NSW Cup squad and I would think that he still may have some strong connections within the club who might bump into him on Saturday afternoon at Campbelltown ask about the 'Cronulla rumours'. Father Paul might just tell them that the coach is the problem.

Flanagan would work wonders with Sironen.

Look at what he did with a genuine five-eighth like Wade Graham.

Given the frame Sironen has, and Flanagan's form at developing forwards, he'll turn Sironen into a superstar.

Yes madunit, but wouldn't it be good if the Tigers had a coach or mentor who could develop players already contracted and turn them from kids good enough to play for Australian Schoolboys, SG Ball players, NSW U18's and good NYC players into pretty good 1st grade players after 2 years (not expecting them to be superstars 1st up) and then true top shelf 1st graders there after?

Joey Johns said during a game recently and I cannot recall the game, that 5/8's are getting bigger and that the modern game is going that way. Even though I immediately thought of Milford.

Maybe a good coach and mentor could see something in Siro, sit down and ask him where would he like to play or suggest to him that he gives x a try, who knows but his couple of years playing in the backrow might be beneficial to him long term if he was given the rest of the season playing at 5/8 in NSW Cup and the off season working on speed etc might see him develop into that true top shelf 1st grader.

Saying all that, happy that he is not selected in 1st grade at present at present.

Apparently Tony Williams and Jason Clark are in talks with us.

If Hasler can't get Williams to perform, I'm not convinced Taylor can.

Lawrence has re-signed for three more seasons. Good move, and hopefully alleviates some cap pressure for the next couple of years.

I would have been filthy if they resigned Lawrence at the start of the season based on previous seasons form but we're halfway through this season and he has really been solid in defence and strong in attack. Consistant.

He seems to be over his major hip injury so we should see good value out of him.

Apparently he had an option in his favour next year for about $600k. He hasn't taken that up and instead resigned for 3 years on about $450kpa. Worked out best for both parties IMO.

Yep, great clubman is Rowdy. Great result for the club and himself.
