Still eating you up that dragons let Benny go?

I think it's evident what he can do. Knights weren't bad last year and now with Bennett they have a great chance to climb higher

I think he is more than likely shitting his dacks now that Lockyer has retired and the Broncos will be on the slide.

Anywho, it's amusing reading both sides of the arguement in this thread. As a Knights fan I am confident of a top 8 finish this year unless we have a horror injury toll. Our backrow is underrated by most, and Im ok with that given that Edwards is young, Taia is coming back from injury and Houston will only be in his 2nd year after a year out of footy. I think the Tigers are better over all by a small margin but sides on paper really dont mean much at all.

He's a Broncos fan mate.

So, your point is still relevant I guess.

I'm a Broncos fan mate, the dragon in my nick is probably not the best choice for a RL forum, but it relates to my soccer team...

The Knights are a good chance to do better than last year, but will crash and burn in the finals in my opinion, that's all.

Replacing a legend like Lockyer is no small task, as you more than likely know as a Knights fan. I think however that we're in much better shape to survive the loss than the Knights were when Joey retired or the Roosters after Fittler left.

Regardless, this is about Tigers vs. Knights, and I really can't see what all the fuss is about the Knights. Despite the fact that Benny will make them a much more solid team, they are far from title contenders imo. Give it another year, and it may be a different story all together.

As a Tigers fan I am not comfortable with alot of people saying we are favourites or have the best roster in the NRL.

Sure, we have a great side on paper IMO, definitely top four material but with no recognised fullback or halfback (as yet) I'm not sure how anyone can come to the conclusion that we are outright favourites. So it's now or never for the Tigers, they need to learn to win games as favourites and win them well.

I can't fathom how people are dismissing Knights as top 4, let alone pushing for the finals.

2008 Dragons = 8th
2009 Dragons = 1st

2011 Knights = 8th

Just sayin.....

A lot of similarities between Bennett's Dragons and Bennets Knights.

Boyd

Uate / Morris - SOO wingers. Tough to split.

McAnus / Nightingale - Both reps and workers, Nightingale with a massive edge

Centres - Bennett got the best out Coops and Gaz, no reason he couldnt do the same for Tahu and whoever

Mullen / Soward - Both young halves with good long kicking, but confidence / consistency issues.

Buderis / Young - Honest footballers who bleed for the club and need to win one (more)

Edwards / Mr Costigan - J Smith / B Scott / Mr Costigan : All hard bastards

Props - Hand picked and with a point to prove

Uncle Wayne may well be an 8 ball, but that 8 ball knows what wins premierships.
