that's if he signs with the tigers we'd be thinking what's to come with regards to the fanbase but there's not a single source I see on this so I ain't believing squat!

At least it is one position that does need replacing....we will be losing 2 wingers at years end, probably three.....so its a possy that does require attention.

But jesus christ as everyone here knows...the forwards are our priority....we need go forward first, then backs score tries, then thats where the goalkicker comes into it.

Like trying to build a house from the roof down.

I cant see this been true.
If El Masri left the Dogs it be worse that losing Price. They will burn the Leagues club down.

I wish I never said the above .......

Haha, good to see people have found their humour again after sunday.

IF..........El Masri was to sign, i would hope like hell that there are some forwards in the pipeline about to be signed. My issue isnt so much the fact we're gonna sign Hazem but rather the priority of the player, or rather his position. If we were to miss out on a forwards because we spent our money on a centre and winger, i'd be pretty filthy, still i have a lot of confidence in the guys runnning the club and they'll get the targets they're after.

for one he hasn't signed yet. sports tonight just said that he's meeting the dogs tomorrow looking for an improved offer - with price leaving they should be able to - they also said two other clubs have made offers. his current offer from the dogs is 1/3 of the offers from other clubs.

surely they offered more than $100 000, which may mean we are offering 300k+? that would be crazy!, even for a club like us we should set a limit of bout 220k. without harking on it again, covell is similar but not quite as good to hazem but could be had for bout 60k. that could be an extra 150-200k to spend (hopefully on enticing forwards to us!) as solid as hazem is and as popular and respected he is, 300k is too much. even if he could be a possible captain. im also guessing souths are the other club or maybe manly.

i know this is in the wrong post but carl webb said his prefered team was the knights. he likes their style. and with the money they have now he will undoubtedly sign with them.

parsons anyone?

Covell would not have gone to the Sharks for 60K,on the up side Elmasri hardly ever gets injured we wouldn't be buying a crock.

 The Wests Tiger board are f**king geniused if they've signed El Masri. It doesn't make any sense. Ok Hodgson might not be a superboot like El Masri, but he is still an adequate goal kicker and there is still a number of wingers on the market that have better attacking skills. It's a complete waste of money.

Parsons has said he is retiring at the end of season, but I suppose if the Tigers threw enough money at him he might change his mind.

Scott Donald would be a better option IMO. But still El Masri does go allright, can catch a bomb and score a try or two. Not to mention the goal kicking.

I don't know where this guy who started this thread got his facts, but in actual fact yesterday El Masri met with the Dragons, and will meet with the Doggies again today.

He will choose between those two teams (Dragpns or Dogs), I don't think the Tigers are even in the equation, (see the SMH this morning).

My tip is he will remain a Bulldog on a much improved deal.

Maybe he listens to ill-informed mates

I said at the start when I saw the rumour that I didn't believe it at all. There was not one reliable source ever to proove that this rumour may happen. I mentioned it many times over but the rumour just kept going....I knew I was right all along!

Braz, I hand it to you..you had a lot of people fooled but not me
