Tim Smith / Brett Finch

to be honest id say Smith would get an offer at - Brisbane, Dogs (sherwin on his last legs), Radiers, Cowboys (still think they believe thurstons more a 5-8), sharks (showed they were looking for other options signings seymore).
Remember finch has 6 clubs after him. Timmys, Green, Mateo, and Inu would all have at least 6 clubs after them, because they all have age on their side.

Dont think the dogs will chase Smith. One year wonder similar to Braiths career.

But Inu and Mateo will look good in blue and white.

Smartman i didnt mean they would actually chase them, more or less teams that would possible look to sign a halfback, and with a forward pack like the dogs, timmy would be amazing i believe.

Finchy is in a real crunch position really. I personally think he plays best when he wears his heart on his sleeve and shows his passion, but after the 2 early losses and first home game for a new club I can forgive him for playing within himself. I don't recall him making too many mistakes he simply didn't give us enough energy or creativity. But considering all the boys would have been on notice about ball control and finishing sets of 6 I think he played to instructions (instructions that somehow won us the game).
The only concern I have at the moment from both our halves but in particular Smith is our kicking game. Way too many down towns not hitting the grass and not enough repeat sets of 6 when attacking their line. Hopefully both boys can really work on this, get some confidence up and in time we should see some match winning play from both of them.

ATM Blake Green is not the answer but could be if the halves continue to struggle up to the start of May.

"On Friday?".....It's been a long time coming though....He had probably his best game in 18 months against the Tigers but in saying that he didn't have to lift much, did he?

I'm glad I do not have to pick the halves at Parra. I keep changing my mind every week.

I like the Smith Finch combo but i'd also have Mateo at lock, Ball Playing forward who hopefully could play 80 mins lol

Look how Canberra use their halves...

Pete now lets remember, last year was last year. We are now in 2007, lets not all egt held up on how timmy played last year. Remember your only as good and your last game. By the way, I hear taht Lett was poor on the weekend... you couldn't just simply be a bad judge of talent?

You're not coming back for more are you Caylo?

Unfortunatly I am known for my stuborn-ness (is that a word?) but yer, I love rubbing things in a little. But on a serious not i want to know honestly your opinnion of timmy game on friday. This is not a go at you at all pete. While i do honestly believe you are very knowlagable about the game, we differ in one opinnion of one player.

My honest opinnion of timmys game is:
Started off with a bang, ran the ball on the first oppurtunity, and looked very dangerous on many more occations. Took that clean up at the back, and then the intercept. He went quiet in the second half, and finchy tried to run the show a little more, but chimed in with that neat grubber. Made a few mistakes, with that bad kick into the ingoal, and the horrible on into touch. I don't think his kicking game was that good, didn't find space often enough, but ran the ball many times on last playes instead of just kicking it. I think his defence was the most pleasing thing from the game, he was very good there. Overall i was pleased that he added variety to his overall game, but has to work on his kicking game, which was under par. I though his passing game was much better, went shorter often without the 30meter cut out pass.

Blake Green deserves the a shot he was great in Premier League last week and after watching Canberra if the young blokes are given a go and they have talent they can even play over a master like Johns...

We need Todd Lowrie at 5/8 - otherwise (with Mateo coming off the bench these days), where will Lowrie play? :?
