I hope he does return to Parra...and does'nt end up elsewhere, for example Souths or Manly.

I hope he returns to Parramatta, but it wouldnt surprise me if went to someone like Brisbane or Gold Coast, closer to home.

Good luck to him, hope he gets through this.

I hope he doesn't return to Parra the way their fans treat anyone who plays 1/2 for the club is disgraceful. He'll never be able to play well enough for them even if he were to win us a premiership, hope he goes somewhere like Brisbane or Gold Coast.

Sad to say but I kinda agree.

This may be the kick in the pants the Parra fans need ... operative word being "fans" (you are supposed to support your club and players).

Will they recognise the pressure and criticism aimed at post-Sterlo halfbacks?

Brisbane suffered a little from this ... look at Seymour going off the rails. I think the public and fans in general under-estimate the affect they can have on 18-19 year olds with their words. Remember how insecure you were at 18 ...

and as for posters saying things such as "harden-up" ... no comment.

Remember at the start of 2005, we were hearing that 15 NRL clubs put forward an offer for a kid by the name Tim Smith. He picked up rookie of the year, and was dubbed a star of the future, its a shame that it could possibly end this way, so soon.

did you people even read the context in which strangers comment was made? he was referring to TEZZA's reaction to my joke - that was apparently in poor taste, not tim smith's condition.

f**k, some people around here are brain dead.

An average of 1 in 6 people have it but only 20% of people know they have it. Depression affects 50% of Australians, it is the most underdiagnosed diseased in the world.

There is a controversy about the prevalence rate and overdiagnosis of BD and Depresssion.

Nevertheless I agree with your sentiment.

You are spot on there. As a parra fan, i must say i support my team and players through the hard times. Fair enough if a player is out of form like lowrie or someone you say, yeah drop him to nsw cup for a week.

But we knew what Tim was coming back from, yet some fans still expect him to set up 5 tries a game and have a blinder week in week out.

I hope he does return to parra and prove all the doubters wrong, including Kenny and Fulton.

On friday night i was ashamed to be a parra supporter, when they read out Tim Smith's name there was a lot of booing from some fans, thats just not on. If you don't support the players in the team, then piss off and find another team.

In other words, to be an Eels fan, apparently, you need to be 'warm and fuzzy'.
My...how things have changed since the days of barb wire at Cumberland Oval...

OK, from now on I'll be warm and fuzzy and toe the party line....
Tim Smith was in great form in 2008 and will be sadly missed.....
