Time for a Finch meeting

Its about time the knights Officials put together a low lights package of some of the poor refs decisions..esp that warriors bull **** try near the post from a chip kick and make Finch justify each and every one...the strip...the early flop against simpson ...the kick off knock on...the 15ms defense set by the merkin
then go back thru other games
Watch finch squirm as he tries to justify all those decisions..put FINCH on notice that we arent going to stand for it any longer...this is the only way we can put THEM on notice about THEIR preformance without coping a 10g fine...(which in sure if we passed a hat around would more than cover it)

What was wrong with that try? I thought it was easy as it comes. The grounding was fine. It was the same as Bailey's vs Roosters, the hand didnt separate from the ball.

and make Finch justify each and every one...the strip...

The 'strip' from Houston was not. He has poor handling, he averages 2 a game. It's time for him to go...

Other than that, every other decision sucked.

I agree its poor ball handling.

But to be fair, every other strip of that nature has been over turned to a penalty this season.

I dont agree, but consistency is the key, and that was far from consistent.

I'll tell ya what. Its all the video refs fault. Because there is no pressure for the refs to perform, because every call he can just ask the video ref to help him out, the quality of refs have dropped considerably...

Video refs should only be allowed to rule on groudings... Whats the point of having a ref plus two touchies if the only one refing the game is acutally the video ref?

Handling has been shown all year to have SFA to do with the stripping/video ref penalties all season. Facts are, we're yet to even receive a penalty from such a situation.

The grounding was pathetic. It was one of those ridiculous one-frame groundings that are completely stupid.

The Warriors also dead-set knocked on from the kick-off after that too.

I'd like Finch to watch footage of Hodgeson and his winger against us two weeks ago and tell us where our penalty was for an obvious off-side from a mishandled kick. But it's not going to happen. The media is not interested in covering us in a sympathetic light. They'll instead focus on SOO and the players in trouble for it. Afterall, league to the crowd that only thinks the game exists on TV, begins and ends with the nameable players.

That was one of the things that really shitted me off last night, as soon as I saw Maxwell yell out to the video while they packed the scrum, I thought "wow finally we are going to get advantage of these because everytime it goes the way of the player who was tackled"

And lo and behold it went against us...typical

Pika, you obviously do some film work right?? Have we had one of those ruck knock-ons ruled as a penalty in our favour?

Also, have a look for when we were on the attack in the 2nd, and I think Simmo had the ball, he stood in the tackle and a 3rd Warriors player came in extremely late, made a shot, Maxwell put the whistle to his mouth, but let the play go, the same player then lifts the leg, Maxwell again puts whistle to mouth, but no penalty...... I feel we got no penalty in that instance as we had just been given one.

Anyone else see this?? Interesting to hear others thoughts.

You are deadset delusional if you don't think the Ah Van try was legitimate

He never let go of the ball, even when analysed frame by frame, and it was also clearly a try on normal speed. Simple fact is he started to lose his grip on the ball but still forced it. He almost dropped it....but he didn't.

It would be good for the club to put together a DVD of the issues, such as Hodgson's offside catch vs Mullens, the strip issue and the ruck penalties.

It would be nice to also send it to the sympathetic media to build some profile and support.

The club has to stand up for itself.

I remember an interview with Harrigan early last year after some horrendous calls by video refs. He was brought in to clarify the grounding rule. Main points were 1. There is no mention of maintaining CONTROL of the ball. The player needs to have DOWNWARD pressure. He then went on to describe downward pressure as a finger tip still in contact with the ball being ok. 2.He then described fingers BRUSHING down the side of the ball as NOT downward pressure. This interview was set up to once and for all sort out the grouding issue. Maybe someone could find it & send it to Finch. It was following the weekend when Parra had a call go against them which was so obviously a try they Finch had no option and had held a ref video session to try to sort out the issue. Same weekend also had a few other terrible calls. Sorry guys but i suck at remembering the details & playmakers involved. You all often amaze me with your talents in this area. Anyway according to their very detailed descriptions in the interview I believe it was "NO TRY"

Knights have 17 penalties in their last 7 games.

Broncos got 12 penalties tonight.

We're being arse raped every game at the moment. Enough said.

Forget the Finch meeting - it's time for a Finch lynching. I say we start up a petition to get him booted as coach of the refs as it's plainly obvious he has no grasp of the rules of rugby league and, as such, completely fails in coaching the refs on said rules.
