With all the unlucky people not able to get tickets for the sydney test, is it time to bite the bullet and move the test to the olympic stadium?

You will get an extra 40,000 people per day in, and im sure it would be the best ever event held at the stadium!

I know there are contracts but this is a special occasion

No.

Allow me to rephrase: Hell no.

There are about...7...Seats in that ground with good views for cricket. Otherwise you're watching players side on the size of ants.

So no.

It is damn small. They would score about 1/200 per session. NSW played there and it was a Katick 6 fest. So no, maybe OSIs but no tests

I haven't seen a match there, nor have I seen it with the grandstands retracted to make it an oval, but I would have thought the square boudnaries would be very short. Too short for international cricket.

I would refuse to go.

I hear ya Timbo

There is nothing like sitting next to the boundary and interacting with the players.

I'll never forget some of the comments I've heard to players like Tuffers and Giles and some of the other pomms, its worth the price of admission. Funny sh*t.

I went to an ING Cup match there in 2004 - the side boundaries are very short.

All it is good for is one dayers, but not for internationals I don't think. Test matches are all about tradition, and part of that is the grounds. The SCG oozes of tradition. Telstra is nothing more than a cavernous stadium.

Great for footy, but was not really designed for cricket.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Nothing compares to the SCG. It's better because it's small.

How many does Lords hold? You wanna move the test from there aswell?

If we do that why not move the Lords test to Twickerham, the Adelaide test to Football Park or AAMi Stadium, the Gabba test to Suncorp and the Johannesberg test to Ellis Park, cause they can fit more in those grounds.

So what if they sell out, thats what happens during the Ashes. I hear some people bought about 10 tickets and one even bought 25 tickets, the thing they shouldve done was have a maximum amount for one person.
