Generally, I wouldn't say happy or not happy.

Disappointed that the kinks couldn't be worked out, but relieved that we aren't just giving Tinkler everything with no guarantees regarding the more suspect parts of the offer.

Personally, the fact that he pre-empted his meeting this afternoon with Tew and Burraston by walking away raises a red flag. What did he not want to discuss? Why was he so against questions being asked?

i thought i said 300k is way unders, which is the Cronulla contract & also the term of the deal, 2 years. But at any rate, Imo in 2013 money he is a 400k player. For that he would have stayed at Cronulla maybe.
Tinkler canot pay a player if it induces or is based upon that player playing for a specific club.
But then again, there is nothing stopping Tinks from sacking people working in his organisation if Snowy decides to leave the knights. If you get my drift.

well if some rumors are true then he will be off to Newie, depends of Tinkler has promised Mrs and Mrs Snowden psotions in one of his companies, if this is true I cant see him staying with us.
But there is so many whispers going on around here who knows what is the truth.

Its not $100 million.
He has guaranteed the knights make $100 million
That guarantee comes from TV rights, sponsorship, corporate sales & merch.
So outlay to him is only about 1- 1.5 million pere year IF he doesn't get extra sponsorship, which he will, because of who he is.
So probably, he is getting the club for free. So it made sense that hte board knocked it back the first time & suddenly he found more money, which he will again.

That was my read on it as well. It was a rubbish deal for the Knights and they were right to reject it.

The delay definitely helps us, because until an EGM is called nothing is locked in, and I would hope Snowy would take the bird in the hand, rather than wait for the proverbial 2 in the bush.

He's just jack of getting stuffed around by a bunch of wankers on their board who are making him dance to their drum.

They know first point of business when he buys the joint will be to punt the lot of them and put his own guy in there.

He's jack of fat cat Burraston who couldn't get the deal done with Snowden to the point Tinkler went and rang Snowy off his own bat.

Fat cat then came out and distanced himself from the call.

Tinkler said, "Right mate, you want to distance yourself from me, then how's this. I'm off."

What he has effectively done is turn every knight supporter against the current administration now as they all know the knights will die without Tinkler.

The call for these boffins who have 'scared him off' buying the club to resign will rattle nobbys.

If anything this strengthens the chance of Snowy heading up the Pacific highway.

This could mean nothing but I was speaking briefly to a sharks player tonight.

Knowing he probably didn't know anything or couldn't say anything if he did, I thought i'd take a quick stab anyway and see if i get a rise, so as this player shook my hand to leave, i quickly threw in "so do you reckon snowy will be a shark after todays developments?" And he said, "i am not sure mate, we'll have to wait and see" which proceeded with a hush smile, tiny nod and a wink.

Take it as you like, I'm still not sure how to take it but i think it might be a good sign.
