Wouldn't hurt Brook, don't know what Sheens was thinking moving Farah to half, probably covering for his shocker at signing the next Cooper Cronk.
His an idea Tim,buy a real halfback, that can work with Robbie,or at least let Dunley or Moltzen have a crack so Robbie can play his natural game.
talk like that could land one in a mental institution

I'm not a Tigers fan, but live in the area at the moment so I have a soft spot for the club..

But what is going on with your recruitment? Hearing stuff like we can only afford Benji or Robbie. I mean, where is the money going to at the moment. Your players are mostly all underperformers yet you cannot seem to afford to keep your two star players?

Just what is the Tigers area these days? Im not being a smart arse, I just dont see latching on anywhere.

Lol at the Storm fan that came here and made a ridiculous comment. The Storm have 20 rep players and the Tigers have none, yet the Storm have more room under the cap it seems.

Who was that tool?

BTW the Warriors chicken winged and grappled their way to victory:lol:

Also who are/ were the 20 Rep players from Storm...exagerating a little bit me thinks.

Neither club was ever any good at player retention and recruitment, which the Wests Tigers have seemed to continue with in fine tradition.
Hmmm, Gary Jack, Steve Roach, Paul Sironen, Ben Elias ,Wayne Pearce, David Brooks, Kerry Hemsly just to name a few played almost there whole career with the one club Balmain! so im not not sure where you got the BS about player retention from ?

Just heard on the news up here in Brissie that the Titans have put forward a 3 million dollar, 5 year deal for Farah.

Apparently the main thing stopping him is his family.
If that's all it is, then I reckon 3 million bucks will make them keen to go to the crime riddled Gold Coast for a few years.

Whats the bet this is allowed and we use the extra money to keep Benji.

oh dear...
I personally know Robbie. Do you know how tight-nit Lebanese families are? He'll be alone on the Gold Coast. He'll have friends but no family. I think the Tigers will make him their priority re-signing. Benji will be play second-fiddle to him.

Tigers to make Farah offer as Titans circle

12/12/2008 12:53:22 AM

WESTS Tigers will put together an offer for Robbie Farah to re-sign and forward it to him next week, following a meeting between the star player, his manager, Sam Ayoub, and the club's management yesterday.

The Tigers face competition from the Gold Coast Titans for Farah's signature when his contract runs out at the end of next season. Farah wants to make a decision on 2010 and beyond before next season starts, and has already been to the Gold Coast to meet Titans management.

Tigers chief executive Scott Longmuir and recruitment manager Warren McDonnell were joined by the club's coach - four-time premiership winner Tim Sheens - at yesterday's meeting, an indication of how important Farah is to the club.

Sheens continuing as coach will be a factor in Farah's decision, but there are a number of other issues he will have to consider before making a choice on his future.

"Robbie wanted to ask a few questions about where the club was headed and he was given a few answers," Ayoub said last night. "I'm going to talk to him over the next couple of days and see what he thinks after digesting all of that. Then, next week, I'm going to meet with the Tigers again, to see if the money is up to where it should be at, for a player like Robbie.

"While money is just one thing he has to consider, it will have a major bearing on the decision-making process."
Longmuir said the Tigers would be formulating a bid over the next few days, adding: "We've got a fair idea of the sort of terms we'll be talking, and we're confident we can make it attractive for Robbie"

A big part of things may be whether Farah can stand Teflon Tim and his ideas or Farah wants change and wants new coaching methods.

To put it succinctly- WT have options if / when Benji goes, if Farah goes- another interesting positional depth mess we get ourselves in- hooker this time.

The worrying thing here is that Robbie is chasing the big dollars. Sure he's worth it, but the mindset is a major worry.

How many players have had nice big contracts or upgrades only for them to begin under performing
