Fair assessment. Solid defender, decent kicker. Very limited attacking game.

The whole attacking structure has suffered since Barba left.
That’s because Shaaaaaannnnnneee thinks that ben still plays for us.

He ain’t Charles Darwin that’s for sure

Probably not but then again he doesn't have much attacking play/ability in him. You don't see many 40/20s though.

Great defensive half, decent kicker and can lead when he wants. Need Moylan to start clicking now.
I was hoping for some good footy from Moylan this year, but he has been a major disappointment.

Yeah, some of his short kicks were poor, and that is normally his strength, but his long kicking game was very good. He looks to have improved a fair bit in that area. Maybe Hodkinson is helping him out?
Can he help him out for goal kicks at all. I don't see it lasting for much longer

Chad was good but did some ordinary stuff as well.
Bakuya was a massive positive. Ran and hit hard with no errors.
Lee is playing with consistency.
Sorensen had another strong game and is well ahead of Capewell now.
Moylan was off. Seemed directionless.
Fifita and Prior as usual were good.
Good win under the circumstances.
Pretty awful game to watch. Everything looked so bloody clunky.

It nearly proved very costly tonight (plus our usual dropped try).

Who is another option? Holmes? Moylan? I'm not sure they would be better.

He was kicking well early this year. Mostly easy kicks, but they looked sweet. Now it looks like he is stomping the ball with cement boots. Very ugly goals, even when he kicks them.

I'll settle for the 2 points,whether it's the result of a t*rd of a game or a beauty.

When you march around ANZ winning the Big ONE,no one gives a rats what happened 8 weeks into the season.
We got what's the Matta next Saturday, and it's then we need flair.

Just about sums it up.

Agreed. If you can strip in the act of saving a try why not allow double movement.

Sorenson's was particularly unfortunate. He was falling but had no one touching him. As he hits the ground he makes the decision to raise the ball carrying arm, and at the same time a player grabs his shirt. It was hardly a "tackle" but technically was, and Sorenson was correctly ruled as giving away a double movement penalty, but it was not a calculated decision to ignore the tackle on him.

Edit: whoops, meant Capewell. Sorenson was off at that stage...

I'm hoping he'll get better as the season goes on..
He needs to stay in one position for that to happen. No more chopping and changing our spine positions.

Frenzy.

Those stats show the long kicking game seems to have been a big point of difference.

Townsend definitely had the biggest influence on the game. As he has done a number of times this year. It is not all about try assists (though some more would be nice).

Thats all kicks as well. 18 of them

I recall 2 fargups that hit players. 2 stabs into touch. 2 bombs. One grubber repeat. Seggy at least one. So thats 8 for about 50 metres tops. There may be a couple more but Ill go with that approximation

Leaves 400/10 = 40 metres average per long kick

Sorry txta2
