Titans leading the comp

Titans played surprisingly well against Storms. Their wins before that have been rubbish. As a squad they have always had the potential and you saw that during their run home last season were they put teams like Storm, Rabbitohs to the wire and beat premiership winning Roosters towards the end of the season. All the Titans need a good coach in the calibre of Bellamy and they can be a fantastic and consistent footy team in the calibre of Manly or the Storms.

Titans have plenty of potential but they need to sack Searle's bff as coach.

We've been grinding out the odd win for years under Cartwrong but there was a sense today that there was another hand at work guiding our offence. Trouble is JC is a remarkable survivor and winning just takes the pressure off him even if it's Henry's work at play.

They deserve to be on top their attitude is fantastic especially in defense. Personally I only think Canterbury(7th), Brisbane(8th) and Manly(3rd) will still be their at years end. Those teams deserve to be in the 8 at the moment thou and it's great to see teams like Wests and Parra having some success after a lean few years.

When was the last time the outright comp leaders after 5 rounds of football had a negative for and against?

Don't think it's ever happened!

Titans are a good defensive team, and with their halves fit, they can score some points.

But they were terrible the first 2 weeks (played a Sharks team missing over half their team and losing Gallen in the first half, and only just won, thrashed by the Tigers at home, in the heat, which should have favoured them), OK the next 2 (just beat Raiders, really in the last 3 minutes, neither side played that well or that badly, just beat Cowboys, who are just awful at the moment), and reasonably good today. That is enough to top the ladder in this crazy competition.

No-one ever has or ever will mark your words BM, other than to use them against you later.

Also, I wonder why I Bleed Moron is so fileld with anger and bitterness? There's no apparent cause in the teams he supports.

Your lazy posts anger me greatly, Jasmine.

I don't get the titans Cartwright hate - he had to build a side from scratch , which he did a very good job at - he got them to the top four two years in a row including a GF qualifier within the first few years. He then won a spoon which would be expected of any new side , but after that spoon he has got the side to improve each year which is a good effort considering they have rookie halves and not the greatest fullback / hooker combo.

Good luck to the titans, they have been the most consistent side so far

PS - if the refs didn't stuff up against manly the eels would be equal first

After five rounds its hard to be a judge, but if current form is anything to go by...then I think the Eels, Dogs and Panthers should be feared more than the Titans.

Today was their first quality game. First three games were won by being shit, but not as shit as the opposition.
