Whoever buys the Titans needs to build a leagues Club next to Robina Train Station, there is land there.

There are govt plans for that land and it doesn't involve the Tits. Their leagues club is the big Club Parkwood redevelopment, will be finished before the end of this season iirc.

You should probably stop calling yourself a fan of RL then.

Blind ideology is not being a fan, it is being deluded.

Not that I agree with henry on this, but being critical of the NRL and it's choices does not make you less of a fan. If anything it shows how much you care about the direction of the game.

What are you talking about?

HH said he'd like to get rid of a team representing a region with one of the bigger junior bases in the league and with some of the most successful RL schools because the GC Suns are as popular as ebola.

Maybe you should read the conversation instead of dropping by at the end.

A little bit further North @ Coomera was going to be the Titans HQ.

A month later, a new report of a proposed move to Parkwood.

Work kicked off in feb this year.

If it wasn't for SL the Chargers would still be playing. Pointless comparing things that happened during that era anyway.

It's no big deal, not everyone is a fan of RL. You're just a fan of your suburban team and not the game itself.

Haha

So how many times should the NRL prop up a Gold Coast team then?

I said Id get rid of the team if it fails again after new ownership , surely this isn't that an unreasonable suggestion?

8 times.

any more than that and i think they should run a feasibility study into the area to understand if it has the correct catchment of fans to generate enough support, or alternatively just take the funding and set up a perth team.

The NRL did this about a year ago, after they took control of the club.

Nah he's right, Bundy is a bit of a shit hole. The "beaches" are terrible and the city centre is dire

Still, could be worse. It could be Gladstone

The whole GC is a plastic pig but that means sfa now that supporters don't have to travel by bus to see a game. Winning will bring enough bums on seats to keep cameramen happy, the Roosters have proven that for years. All that is needed is a 'culture', in the GC's case it will have to be Manlyesque in stature, who the f**k wants to live in Manly . . . there are more of their supporters out than in

Channel 7 rehashing a story about the Suns not viable on the GC with the AFL CEO saying otherwise. Where's there's smoke there's fire

Knowing vicky kicky house they are looking at getting out of the GC without it looking if they have quit. That might take some explaining and plenty of BS, but they are known for spin and BS I wouldn't be surprised if they were moved to Tasmania, at least a team there wouldn't cost them millions of dollars every year to prop up.

Tasmanian Suns, not quite the first thing you associate with Tassie.

Tassie no suns might be there name.
On a serious note it just economically viable to spend close to $30 million a year on 2 clubs that nobody really wants.
Vicky kicky have to give awat 1,000 of tickets just to get people to watch them. One of them will have to to move.
