Alvaro's not a good attacking player. In fact I'd say he is poor at it. But he is an excellent defender, which is why he's in the team. As for his lack of passing game, some runs are just intended to change the position of the play-the-ball across the field to set up the next play. The metres made are a secondary concern. Obviously you would prefer a quick play-the-ball but the main thing is to try and generate a numbers mismatch on one side of the field. Runs like this are bread and butter for the Alvaros of the world. Why waste them on your better attackers? When we need a quick play-the-ball (usually the next play) we go with Nathan Brown or Kane Evans or one of the edge forwards. Anyway, the point is that if you need the play-the-ball in line with a goal post (for example), throwing an offload can be counter-productive unless the bloke catching it runs straight back up his arse. And that bloke probably had a responsibility on the next play beside playing the ball. That was supposed to be Alvaro but now the merkin is standing around wondering what to do.

I wouldn't say he's poor at attack.
He regularly churns out 100m a game. That's not too bad for someone of his style of play.

Over 150m when he took Brown's role and subsequently became the bloke who took the runs Brown takes. As a prop Alvaro is almost always taking the earlier, harder runs because he has great leg drive and regularly gets a quick play the ball. That affects his total metres made, but is invaluable in allowing players like Brown (and Evans/the back row when relevant) that little bit more space to make the bigger statistical runs

Id have Tepai and Terepo as the starting front row.

BA naming Scott and Mannah as captains when both are borderline first graders these days shows he never planned for a bad start.
If he drops Scott and Mannah gets 30mins a game?

We havent fixed hooker, goal kicking also. Lets not just talk about front row

I don't think it really matters who's the captain, hey? It's just sponsors and the Westmead Children's Hospital and a few fans who care about that shit.

Hindy has an inexplicable hard-on for Terepo...he's been utterly fooled by what he does before the line and thinks that he somehow saps the defenders energy by hitting the defensive line and stopping as though he's run straight into the side of a barn.

Handy reserve/bench player and a good defender but almost no impact in attack, plus he has hands like mangled feet

Also very good if you needed someone to run into the side of a barn.
