I've actually got some positive vibes about him, it also wouldn't surprise me if Ryles brings a specialist halves coach in over the summer.

He's not a 6. Never has been, never will be. I don't care which halves coach they bring in. He's a fullback. A backup one at that. Would kill it in the UK as a 1.

yeah, 3 or 4 games at 6 at NRL level isn't a particularly great sample size to work of but the point is he's not had the opportunity to work on that part of the game....he was given the ' sink or swim ' apprenticeship.. you may well be correct but I'll reserve my judgement until I see what he can do in March or April next year.

Yep there is no point losing our minds if Joash isn't the best 5/8 in the game after less than a handful of games at 5/8.
I am assuming Ryles will stick with him most of next season while Lorenzo develops..

The club also has some other options for the future if those 2 don't work out which is good.

I doubt Pezet goes to us or Knights as Anasta has him lined up for the halves spot at the Storm or at the Bears depending on where his other player goes.

I like Matty and I'm not saying he doesn't know his footy, I just don't think he knows it as well as a lot of people think he does.

Under BA he would always say Parra played too sideways when we were losing games, yet we were actually doing the exact opposite and just playing bash and barge footy? This year he is heaping praise on Ryles (who he strongly campaigned for) but we have actually been playing very laterally when the conditions allow it.

I know he has used examples with Penrith over the last couple of years where he praised how patient they are playing conservatively and using tempo inside ball/inside ball to open up the edges etc yet earlier this year I watched him use a video of Penrith doing the exact same thing but they were losing but then stated they look nervous and are resorting to inside balls as they don't know what they are doing?

His brother is the greatest player I've ever seen, but his takes on the majority of things are horrid.

Hawkins in #18 and Lussick in #22... I'm hopeful both will be late inclusions in the game day side - at the expense of Papalii and De Silva.

Not so hopeful about the result this week, think we'll get smashed by a team with their eyes on the prize of playing finals footy, while we're trying out potential combos for 2026.
