I hate players with a sense of humour.
I hate a guy who says what he thinks and makes an interview interesting.
It shits me.

Some of my favourite interviews are Darren lockyer. Hook griffin. Brett Kimmorely.
Ive taped them and often will rewatch them when lm bored.

Bad timing. Really bad timing.
Political football being passed around like a grenade which is likely to go off in someone’s hands.
Sad thing is, Toby’s idea of comedy is funny to most and offensive to the few, the same few who will blow up at any indiscretion rather than just moving on.
Innocent comment. Poor judgment. End of story.
Plenty worse out there

Jesus you're really playing some mental gymnastics in here fellas...you know exactly what he was referring to when he meant when he said 'anything will do.' It's clear as day. I expected the forum to be all 'PC has gone mad,' but if you're gonna have that opinion have the balls to state that you know exactly what he was referring to instead of trying to pretend "he could have been referring to pulling beers," f**ken hell.

The offence is obviously not the 1000 beers comment, it's that he's referring to women as objects, he's saying that he'll f**k any "THING." And it's not even about 'offence' or 'comedy' it's about hurt. If a woman of any age, a middle age woman, a young one, a kid...if they watched the game and enjoyed it and like Rudolph and hear him turn around and suggest that shit... and then it stings to realise that's what he might think of them if he saw them at Northies that night, it's the beginning of them being lost to the game.

You shouldn't need an empathy consultant or have to think of your wife, or girlfriend, or relative or daughter to imagine what it's like to see them feel hurt by shit like this...and this just absolutely isn't in the same context as the absurd lengths you're reaching for to justify it or consider it overblown.

You want your edgelord comedy that's all out there and seeks to offend and f**k you if you're offended etc etc...then you have so many avenues for that naff shit. No one needs it on TV from their footy players in a time when we're trying to have the game seen as a healthy and safe cultural extension for people of all race and genders.

Of COURSE the NRL are gonna respond to that, like how dumb are you to think they wouldn't??? And yeah, of course it's the media and Matty John's in particular pushing players to say shit for clicks...but that doesn't make it passable in the year 2021 ffs. Rudolf will get some basic media training and told the difference between his comments and the Cheese's comments and he'll be a better man for it. That's good for the game as a whole and it's wild that you're all resisting it so hard

What he said was basically rape.

Anyone who laughs at a joke like that is a rapist.

Did I get there fast enough?

f**ken hell, calm down. we all knew what he was referring to.
In all fairness though he was only running off the set up that was given to him by Matty John's and Co's questioning which was all in jest as well.

There was nothing wrong with anything he said but When the whole world has a phone in their pocket with access to their own personal soap box, this is the type of shit we have to deal with nowadays. It's f**king ridiculous.

Wow .. you have jumped balls first into the Woke basket case that 100% of people who feel offended at the joke, 100% of twitter users and about .0001% of the rest of the world have also fallen into. Those same people who have so little sense of humor they cant even take the piss out of themselves and want to enforce their own lack of humor on the rest of the world.

Nice virtue signalling there. To take what he said and interpret it to what you posted there, says more about you then it does about Toby or anyone else. Young men and women go out to hook up, or have you forgotten about that? Where did he say that women were objects or that his actions are or could be non consensual ?? Have a sense of humour mate and stop trying to find meaning into things that support the cancel culture.

The reason people can't be themselves anymore is because of the mis-representation of people in the community that pull apart everything that is spoken about and deemed offensive, abusive and damaging.

"Have 1000 beers and pull anything" Yes he practically raped someone. Move on.

Edit: One more thing , do you honestly think Toby's intentions were hurtful in any way?

No. NRL's attempt to obtain browny points and dragging a young player over the coals PUBICALLY is more damaging than anything else thats going on here.

"dragging a young player over the coals PUBICALLY" Talk about "distastefull" "rude" and " hurtfull". NRL should be ashamed !They have no right to Touch his Pubics!!! Outrageous!!!!!!

I guess the "rude off " button will be on from now on
The next interview with him is going to be great:

Interviewer: "Congratulations, mate. Another 'player-of the-match' [see what I did there?] performance!"

TR: "Thanks, mate. Nah - I can't really claim credit. The boys - Errr - Sorry - my team-mates really put in - I mean by that, they played really well... Umm... Yeah... Full credit to the Canberra Raiders. They're a well-coached team and deserve all the credit they're getting. It was a good close game. I mean, even though it was a well-deserved draw - I mean both teams deserve credit. and we'd all have to agree - Err - not that I'm telling you what to think - Err... RUGBY LEAGUE WAS THE WINNER TONIGHT!"

He could've spoken about drinking beers all day, it was the "pull something" and "anything will do" lines that landed him in trouble. I dont agree with the NRL but I saw that live and knew something would happen as a result.

I’ve hardly seen anything about it online until the nrl decided to make a big deal out of it and hand him a warning. Now it’s f**ken everywhere.

Would a kid even know what pulling at Northies means anyway? And anything will do?

It would've gone over there heads.

It’s been lost on nearly every ‘commentator’ that the context was in reference to Rudolph being referred to as an old school type player. That’s when he said the 1000 beers and pick up stuff....ie meaning that would have been done in the past.

He then very quickly said he’d actually be taking an ice bath.

To automatically suggest he’s a misogynist, or worse, is grossly unfair.
