Todd Carney injured in balcony fall

DALLY M Medal winner Todd Carney sustained a serious injury that required medical treatment after falling from a balcony.

It is understood Carney had lost his keys and was attempting to climb through a window of his eastern suburbs unit when he fell.

There were reports last night Carney required internal and external stitches, but doctors have since cleared him of any ongoing serious injuries.

The Roosters have returned to training but Carney, being a member of Australia's Four Nations squad, is not due back until January 3.

Roosters officials were saying little last night but insist Carney will be at training when required.
